About this property

Bright & Beachy - Steps to the water!

Light, bright, beachy and welcoming! A slice of old Florida just steps away from private beach access. Nestled behind the dunes is this hidden gem and slice of paradise. 2nd Fl unit with all the comforts of home, and recently updated with new furniture and mattresses. Spend your days at the #1 beach in the US or explore all there is to do in Siesta Key Village, Sarasota, St. Armand’s Circle, Lido key and Longboat Key.

Beach chairs are provided for our guests at the beach - Umbrellas, beach towels, beach wagon and cooler are in the unit. The community has a heated pool, shuffleboard and a Laundry room (located on ground floor). There is high speed internet and ROKU TVs in all of the rooms. There is a charcoal grill located out in front of the bldg, as well as common area table/umbrella space for hanging out. Full kitchen including a stove, microwave and dishwasher for those nights you want to stay in. There is a Keurig, as well as drip coffee makers - sheets, blankets, pillows and bath towels will be provided to our guests.

There are 2 bedrooms, the first with a king bed, and the second with a queen and single bed. Both rooms have dedicated TVs as well.

There is a dedicated parking spot in front of the unit, but you can get around the Key using the Free Trolley system that runs from from 9:00 a.m til 10:00 p.m every 15 minutes. There are other free methods of transportation too that you can contact for pick-up (tips appreciated). And of course, Uber is always an option. Our unit is about 1.5 miles from the north Village and about 1 mile from the South Village. Very central location.

Come spend your days on the beautiful white sands of Siesta Key and watch the amazing sunsets. Vacation doesn't get any better!

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
PLEASE remember to remove the parking pass from your car and put back on the kitchen table in the unit. Same goes for your (2) beach FOBS and (5) beach bracelets.
Check under the beds, in the closets, and in the dresser draws for all of your personal belongings. Make suer you have all of your chargers and electronics.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please follow all posted rules at the Community Pool. To enter the pool, use your beach FOB.
Please DO NOT hang your beach towels on the second floor railing in front of our unit. We know its tempting, but this is a big NO NO.
Please adhere to the Community Quiet hours of 9:30-7:00 am. Please pick up your trash from the beach and fill all holes you may have dug in the sand.

We are empty-nesters who love South Florida and everything it has to offer for both living and vacationing. We feel very fortunate to have purchased this slice of paradise and have worked hard to make it homey, beachy and comfortable for all of our guests. We are very excited to share everything special about Siesta Key with each and every one of you.

We have lovingly named our unit "Finns", as it is both a nod to ocean and marine life, but also a remembrance of our beloved 3-legged Golden Retriever "Finnigan" whom we adored and miss dearly.

When we are not working, David and I can be found spending time with family, golfing, boating or beaching. We live just 20 mins down the road and have 3 grown children and one beautiful mutt named Sasha. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property due to its proximity to the beach/water and because we saw its potential. Its a piece of old FL history and we wanted to give it new life. After working hard on updates (paint, flooring, furniture, etc) we feel like its the perfect place to come back to after a day at the beach.

What makes this property unique

This property gives our guests direct private beach access (without having to cross busy streets), and without the high rental prices that other beach-front communities charge. Its located exactly in the middle of the key and has great access to both North Village, South Village and Turtle Beach.
