Stay in our Registered Historical home, Built in 1919 with a complete restoration l just completed in 2019 this beautiful 4,600 sq ft classic is a dream property. I am a master craftsman that uses mediums of concrete, wood, and steel. I personally fabricated every concrete countertop, concrete sink, concrete shower and light fixture in this remodel. I've poured my heart and soul into the design and finish to give you the best lodging experience in the Flathead Valley. Combine with listing #1633747 which is a brand new separate 2 bedroom unit above the garage the total guest accommodation is 19 people for both listings.
Besides being registered on the Historic Society list as a Historic Property, this home is a true one of a kind. Built by the President of the Empire Lumber Co. and only owned by Judges and Doctors since 1919. The prestige is evident as soon as you walk in the door. Location is everything, and this property sits on top of the hill in East Kalispell and is only 3 blocks from main street shopping and dining. The tree lines streets of the East side offer endless walks to appreciate the century old architecture surrounding this home. Enjoy the new master bedroom which boasts massive 100 year old collar tie rafter bracing with the turnbuckles we salvaged from the Whitefish Fire Station built also in 1919. The kitchen was well stocked but the pots and pans were a bit limited (missing a griddle, large pasta pot). The middle floor was pretty warm for sleeping but the AC units were appreciated in the other rooms! Check in was great and the manager was super friendly and responsive! Loved the downstairs game room and for our big family group perfectly!!
This is our second time visiting KALISPELL and this home was perfection! Perfect location, warm and friendly owners, who treated us so well. You are lucky if you get to stay in this beautiful home for your vacation.

This was our first family vacation in a VRBO. We were impressed with Whitehouse, a historic 1919 home in east Kalispell, with all the modern amenities. Perfect for a large group.

Lovely high quality restoration historic home near downtown Kalispell.
Ryan spared nothing in making this a classic home for family events and Glacier vacations.
Ryan was a fabulous host and responded to every need. The house was warm and inviting in a great neighborhood. Well stocked and ready for any family, even a large family to enjoy.

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Ryan was very helpful in arranging our stay and supportive of use during the COVID19 measurements. The home is stocked with great supplies, beautifully decorated, a great location (we walked to the ice cream shop, brewery, etc. for to go orders), and really enjoyed our time. I would highly recommend, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

This property is beautiful and Ryan is an excellent host. He was attentive and courteous from the beginning to end of our stay. There was 12 of us on this trip and there was plenty of room for us to gather and lots of bedrooms to accommodate each couple. We appreciated the extra amenities and careful thought put into making each room functional and accommodating for travelers. Location is perfect. Within walking distance of Main Street. Short drive to Glacier and White Fish. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

We try to have a summer trip with our children and grandchildren every summer.
Only a few of us had been to Montana before.
We loved our stay! The location was in walking distance to the downtown area of Kalispell and also convenient to the other towns in the area and to Glacier NP.
We frequented several coffee shops and restaurants in Kalispell.
The property itself was perfect for our family. Lots of bedrooms for adults and kids. Also, a large living room, dining room and kitchen for gathering. Quiet lovely neighborhood.
The owners have done an amazing job with the renovation of this historic home.
Thank you!
We had a great time staying here. The house is fantastic and you can tell that much thought was given to the renovation. The house was perfect for our holiday family reunion. It has a lot of neat places to gather but also gave our group room to spread out as needed. The house also was well stocked with just about anything you could need. The location is excellent. We walked into town a number of times for shopping, dining, and ax throwing. It is also conveniently located to skiing at Whitefish and winter activities at Glacier National Park. Ryan is a great host. He checked in to make sure we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. I highly recommend staying here—I’m sure you’ll have a great time just like we did.

We’re happy the Whitehouse property was a perfect fit for your Montana Holiday!!
This historic home is spacious, clean, updated with all modern conveniences, decor was stunning … It’s a great gathering place for large groups, basement had pool table, ping pong, game room, bar, wine cellar. Smart Tv in every room. Cooked out in back yard. So much fun. Only problem was we had a few hot days and no one could sleep on the main floor because there was insufficient air conditioning there. That was our only issue. About a 2 hour drive to Glacier National Park, so not the most convenient if that is your main destination. But home is in a quaint neighborhood within walking distance of Main Street and great park. Host was most accommodating and responsive.

Hi Hanna, and Thank you for staying with us. We do have extra temporary AC units available for the main floor at the customer request and would have been happy to have brought them in if we would have known temps were a bit warm for you on the main floor. They do make a fan blowing noise and some don’t like that.
This summer has been one of the hottest on record.
Planning trips to Glacier is always important this time of year. Mapquest has our property listed as 43 minutes away from Glacier Parks west gate. If you don’t get early starts you will hit traffic no doubt that will delay travel times. We usually recommend travelers plan on leaving for the park no later than 5:30 or 6 am. Plan on at least 2 hours travel time to get all the way up to Logan’s Pass at the top of Going to the sun road.
We will make sure your next stay is nice and cool!
Thanks again!
This house's location is fab: a few blocks from Main Street in Kalispell and an "easy MT length" drive to Glacier NP, Flathead Lake, Whitefish and NW MT. We had a multigenerational group of family in the house and it did NOT work for a number of reasons. It is an old house: the spaces outside and on the main floor are small so it is hard to find a place for people to gather, there is only one bathroom per floor, there are lots of narrow steps (2/5 flights of them) and odd unusable spaces, the front door is very hard to open so there is no way into the house except through the garage which requires being able to do stairs (every time). There are upgrades to the house which are so complicated that you need a manual or instructions from the owner to use: TVs, music system, coffee maker, heavy glass doors in the living/dining room and first floor bath. The garbage situation is communal which creates "overflow" issues. There is no air conditioning except for individual units in the attic and the dining room (and MT was in a heat wave this summer). The owner is NOT friendly to service dogs. I have rented from VRBO owners many times and never lost a penny of my security deposit. I should have known this experience would be different when I saw the high rent (for the area), the high security deposit, the high cleaning fee and the owner's requirement that I pay for Property Damage Protection.

Hi Guest, first off thank you for all the “in writing” compliments and thank you’s during your stay with us. Your deposit was the first we ever had to utilize
We do regret allowing you into our home.
We expect our guests to follow the written published rules of the home. Not for our favor but for the other guests that stay with us. No pets, no smoking and that’s just the way it is. A traveller or child with terrible allergies could have health issues if others were allowed to SNEAK pets into properties that clearly state no pets on the listings. We never knew you had a service animal, but maybe you’re/were a lawyer and need all the help you can get? Maybe we could have planned things for you if we knew.
I believe It’s bad to abuse service animal use, it hurts those that need them.
For the first time we had to utilize a deposit which we do not ever want to do as it’s not good for the house or the traveller.
We take pride in everything we do including our “house Book” which has house operating instructions, local dining, and who to call should you need anything whatsoever during your stay. You actually texted me saying and I quote “your notes and notebook are Fab, and the house is out of site”
If you would have ever said any room had a temperature that was warm or cool or just unpleasant “which no one ever has” we would have done whatever was needed to adjust for you.
Our home is 100 years old and fantastic in layout, comfort, and space while maintaining a 100 year old classic feel. And we wouldn’t change that experience for a million dollars.
The Whitehouse is updated and is easy to use. For people that find it hard to follow written instructions I could see where a tv remote would be complex.
The only correspondence we had from you wether “text or email” was that you loved the house and everything about it even up until an hour after you left.
However I could see a week later leaving a poor review after being held accountable for the mess.
We want our guests to relax and have fun
We do and will do everything we can to make sure you have the best possible experience you can with us. My wife and I clean this home better than our own.
We rated you as a person we would not rent to again as the condition you left the home in was worse than any other guest. Totally disgusting and required 5 times the typical cleaning time. I think your dog was the cleanest guest in your party
Unfortunate path crossing.
We rented this home for our company retreat and it was perfect! The house has been beautifully restored so it feels updated yet still maintains it's charming originality. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for serving up a nice dinner. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well stocked. We gathered in the living room for our team meetings and found ourselves downstairs each night pouring wine and playing pool. The icing on the cake was how close to town we were. We could walk to all the restaurants and shops. No Uber necessary! The owners were kind and quick to respond. We give it 5 stars across the board. -Team NuttZo
We had my family of 6, a family of 5 and my in laws. House was large enough that it was easy to be comfortable. Ryan was very helpful showing us the house and how to work everything. Walking distance to coffee shops and bakeries, which our kids loved doing almost every morning. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Glacier National Park.

We can't say enough great things about this property! It is absolutely beautiful inside. Gorgeous kitchen and baths and bedrooms are perfect too. Wonderful beds and such an incredible place to be with your family. We stayed here with our two college age daughters but it would be great for family reunions, groups of friends, etc. The owners have thought of everything here....you won't want to leave! The house is in a beautiful neighborhood and it's an easy walk to several options for lunch or dinner. We are already dreaming about when we can come back again!
