The cabin was a lovely little cabin, well equipped and a total pleasure to be in. Fantastic location as far as being close to town and also close to the Rocky Mountain national Park. Highly recommended.

Great value near RMNP. Super deck with great views and wildlife. We especially enjoyed the hummingbirds and chip monks. Cabin was cozy with all the amenities you might need.

Wonderful little cabin from the past, easy to find and get in, close to town, and VERY comfortable beds. It did get hot at night and there is no A/C so hot sleepers in the summer may have a hard time. We ended up having to open the bedroom doors and leave the front door open as well (screen door was closed) just to be able to sleep comfortably in August. There isn’t much of a yard, and no privacy from neighbors, but we weren’t there long and it served our needs. Would stay there again and stay longer, I bet it is very cozy in the winter with a fire in the fireplace! Kitchen was pretty well-stocked as well which was nice. Highly recommend a morning paddle at Shadow Mountain Lake, and dinner or drinks at Grand Lake Lodge on the porch.

Hi Caitlin! Thank you for your feedback. There are fans in each bedroom closet and a window in each bedroom. We have found most guests enjoy the cool mountain air in the summer! Also, there is a thermostat in each bedroom. If it's too hot or too cold, we recommend checking to make sure the heat is on or off and the temperature is set to your preference. We've also found that most guests enjoy the mountain views from the deck and open yard without fences to enjoy the natural landscape and breath-taking skyscape! Thank you, we hope you come again in the winter and cozy up to the fireplace.

We loved the retro vibe of this cabin. It was quaint and comfortable. Everything was as expected and my family enjoyed our quiet time here. The fort in the back was especially cool for my kids to explore.

This cabin is so beautifully kept! We brought Duraflame logs for the fireplace for ambiance as the heating in the cabin is sufficient! The beds are very comfortable! The kitchen provided the cooking utensils needed for us to make our meals as well as spices to flavor our dishes! Both bathrooms have decent showers. Grand Lake is beautiful and it was nice to sit on the deck too enjoy the beautiful surroundings and stargaze at night! Heather was very attentive in messaging to our inquiries that we had. Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to returning!

Grand Lake Retreat

We loved our time at Rocky Mountain National Park and staying at this property. Everything was perfect for our family of 4, and the house was actually larger than I expected. We would definitely stay again!

Short Weekday Getaway

Very clean and overall comfortable cabin with everything you need to enjoy staying put. We really enjoyed the front deck at night cooking out and looking at the stars.

Location is great! Clean, great amenities, nice place to stay!It advertises as for 6 adults. We had 3 adults and 3 teenagers. It felt a bit cramped. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Hi Carla, the 788 sf cabin is 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths and sleeps up to 6 with the full size pullout sofa bed in the living room as described in the listing. Yes, it can be quite cozy with 6 people.

Mountain Escape
