Adobe Casita Downtown - King Bed + Patio * Spacious 450 Sq Ft
Step into a Santa Fe style casita characteristic of the 400 year old city. Delight in the charm of this 1800s historic adobe in the heart of downtown and the convenience of easy walking distance to the excitement and cultural activities of the historic Plaza, Canyon Road, Farmer`s Market, Rail Yard District, restaurants, cafes, art galleries, shops, movie theaters...and more! Don`t miss out on this unique and charming experience.
You`ll be staying in a 450 square foot renovated historic adobe with thick adobe walls and rustic wood beam (called `vigas`) ceilings and a private patio. There is a living area with a large sectional sofa, HD Smart TV, kitchenette, bedroom with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The kitchenette does not have cooktop or oven but we`ve provided a toaster oven and portable induction cook burner in addition to a coffee maker, electric tea kettle, and under-counter refrigerator.
The historic Santa Fe home in the South Capitol District of Santa Fe was converted to a 3 unit complex of which this is the rear unit. You can walk across the street to Sage Bakehouse for coffee and breakfast in the morning. The Rail Yard District is 5 minute walk where you will find restaurants, cafes, brew pubs, art galleries, antique and art markets, the Santa Fe Farmer`s market, movie theaters, etc.. I have rented a number of VRBO properties over the years, and I would give this one the very highest recommendation. It is clean, beautifully furnished including a number of local art pieces, stocked perfectly for 2 guests -- coffee and coffeemaker, microwave, dishes, bathroom amenities. The shower is just amazing. Check-in and checkout were easy with GREAT communication from Paul. Easy access to the Plaza, restaurants, shops and historic sites. Onsite parking was very handy. We loved this comfortable, thoughtfully-furnished casita.
We had a wonderful stay in this well appointed casita. Paul was very communicative and offered great recommendations. We love Santa Fe and found this location ideal for all of the things we like to do.
This is SUCH a lovely casita! Everything you could possibly need on a mini getaway! Paul was so informative and responsive. We will definitely book again!
Parking was good, with the exception that stripes need to be repainted as they are worn off and barely can see. The sectional couch was very uncomfortable, worn, and difficult to get out of, no other chair in room. Had to prop pillows on cushions to help sitting. Patio is very small, we did not use. There were ants in the bathroom, TV you must have your own passcodes to use prem channels.

Karen,
I'm disappointed you were unable to give a 5 star review. I'm sure other potential guests will see all the previous 5 star reviews we have received.
While the parking lot stripping may be faded, each parking spot is clearly called out on the custom steel parking bumpers with suite letters on the front. I have not had a guest mention this as an issue in 6 years of hosting.
I'm surprised you did not like the Pottery Barn sectional sofa. We installed a BRAND NEW SLIP COVER, PILLOWS & PILLOW COVERS a couple months ago! Yes it is a deep sofa but I can't imagine anyone could perceive it as "worn".
Sometimes we get ants in the springtime and, unfortunately, our pest control person did not get there prior to your stay. Bad timing.
I guess one could say the patio is small...but I don't know what you were expecting.
There are free TV channels but guests us their own account login for premium streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon.
Great location. Easily accessible to all downtown Santa Fe has to offer. Hosts Paul and Laurie were very helpful, offered great recommendations, and provided a nice "home away from home" for our visit.
Perfect size space, super quiet and cozy, and amazingly luxurious shower! The bed was also comfy. We walked all over downtown from here, the location was great.
This property was the perfect home base while we stayed in Santa Fe. Next time we are in Santa Fe, we will absolutely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Paul DeDomenico
I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Hawaii in my early teens. I returned to California for college. I visited my new college friend from Santa Fe one summer break and fell instantly in love with the city and moved here in 1989. My wife, Laurie, and I raised our family here. Both my wife and I are in the real estate business.
We love food and culture which is plentiful in Santa Fe. Our favorite travel destination is Europe and especially Italy (food again) where my family roots are. I love to cook having learned from my Italian nona.
We are very casual people and love to share our "city different". We are available to give you suggestions and tips for your stay.
