While the apartment is in a fantastic location, the pros end there. Accessing the second floor is a ordeal thanks to a filthy, narrow staircase that is nearly impossible to navigate with luggage. Inside, the entire apartment has an unbearable stench that left my eyes red and watering. It’s clear the host set up the unit with the cheapest possible fixtures to maximize profit. I would strongly advise families to look elsewhere.

I must say that I’m surprised by your dishonest review of my apartment. Your review is out of line and I feel that it’s strongly biased by the fact that you couldn’t check in at 8 am as you wished, because there were still the previous guests in the apartment. You were already tired and unhappy at your arrival. A lot of our guests are over 70 years old, and none of them have had any trouble with the two small flights of stairs to get to the apartment. Most guests find the about 400-year-old stairs quite charming. Our apartment is elegant and features the furnishings befitting a 17th-century apartment and is exactly as you can see in the photos in the listing, so you knew exactly how the would be when you did your choice. The apartment, the furnitures and equipments are far from "cheap". As the saying goes, “there are as many tastes as there are colors”. The perception of different smells is personal and depending on what you are used to, but no one has ever complained about any smell in the apartment. We have always set high standards of cleanliness and the proof is that the reviews have always given top notes concerning cleanliness. Luckily all our other guests remain happy with our apartment, as shown in all the reviews.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay in Paris. The apartment had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Having a separate bedroom and living room was great. The location was very close to two metro stations making site seeing easy. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Amazing stay

This is a wonderful apartment in the heart of Marais. Great location, close to everything and the apartment was well appointed and provided plenty of space to rest and recover after walking the streets of Paris. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very nice stay with everything we need

Very safe and quiet location, close to everything. We can easily walk to the train, metro, St Chapelle, every location we want. The apartment has everything, kitchen, bathroom,dishwasher are fully equipped! Check in is fast.Will stay here again next time!

Excellent property in the best part of Paris

My daughter and I loved staying at this property in the heart of le Marais. It's spacious by Paris standards, clean, well equipped and has everything you need for a long stay. We were also surprised by how quiet the area is, no problems sleeping at night. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Felt like we were in old Paris. Nice decor. Many good restaurants and shops nearby. Trendy with lots of young professionals. The stairs are very steep and winding but only 2 flights. Wish we had some paper towels and laundry pods to start. Host was great, showed us everything and how to work things. Had a great 4 days!

Prefect Apartment

Apartment was perfect. Location was great. Just wonder around and you find all kinds of places. Yes, there are a few stairs, so do not be surprised. Hope to make it back to Paris and this will be our go to place.

Good Location

Cozy for a couple (little inconvenient for 3). The winding staircase to the 4th level could be difficult for some with your carry on size luggage. Location is good for catching the bus and metro to major sites. Many cafes and restaurants near by.
