About this property

A Mountain Hideaway

Escape to the perfect retreat at A Mountain Hideaway near Pigeon Forge, where you can enjoy stunning views, privacy, and a newly-installed deck. This one-bedroom plus loft, two-bath cabin nestled on a mountaintop is the ideal getaway for anyone seeking tranquility.

Living Room

Designed for ultimate comfort, the living room features inviting leather furniture, ideal for sinking into at the end of a busy day of sightseeing, hiking, or shopping. Watch the flat-screen TV from your spot on the couch or in the deep embrace of the leather recliner. A large, stone-trimmed corner fireplace warms and brightens the room. The big picture window and glass doors reveal mountain vistas better than any work of art. Modern, simple décor pairs with knotty pine trim and beautiful wood floors in this welcoming space beneath the gorgeous cathedral ceiling.

Kitchen and Dining Area

Conveniently located at one end of the living area is the open-plan kitchen. This fully equipped dining delight gives you all the utensils, cookware, and extras you need to create your own gourmet meals or snacks. Whether you’re making a simple breakfast, picnic lunch, family dinner, or smoothies for the kids, this handy kitchen helps you turn meals into memories. A terrific breakfast island divides the kitchen from the living room. Hand-hewn stools of rustic wood show off mountain crafting, adding great looks as well as extra seating.

Rec Room

Upstairs in the loft, you’ll play for hours on the pool table. Start a tournament and see who wins! Everyone can gather to watch the fun, thanks to extra seating in this airy, bright space.

Bedrooms

The master bedroom suite is on the main level, with its own private access to the deck outside. A king-sized log bed is the star feature in this room of warm, honey-toned pine and rich, cherry-red walls. You’ll love the exposed beams overhead and plush rug underfoot. A flat-screen TV is here for your entertainment. The master bath’s jetted tub promises all the bubbling warmth you need to soak away your cares, and it’s set in its own wood-lined nook for ultimate privacy. This is a one-bedroom cabin, but there’s a bonus sleeping area in the loft, too. Another king-size log bed with matching log tables, a flat-screen TV, and a private full bath just for the loft make this extra sleeping area special. The bath features a second jetted tub and a separate shower, too.

Outdoor Spaces

Be sure to stock your favorite coffee, wine, or beer, or maybe some tasty Tennessee moonshine—you’ll want to sit, sip and escape reality on this new deck. Rocking chairs are ready to position you for a perfect view. Because A Mountain Hideaway perches on a mountainside, you get wide, uninterrupted views of tree-covered mountains and valleys beyond. When you’re ready to peel yourself out of those cozy rockers, head to the covered hot tub right there on your deck! You’ll still see the view from this generously sized hot tub, but thanks to the roof over it, you can enjoy a dip in most any weather. And if you love grilling, the charcoal grill on the deck is a great spot for gathering outside.

If you want secluded…

This place has pluses and minuses….the view is awesome, privacy can’t be beat and gets you away from the very busy streets below….the drive in….be in a 4x4 if you want in and out of the driveway and road leading up to the place. The cabin….the pool table is a cool touch, especially for days inside! The hot tub location is private and…if it had been working…I’m sure would have been great. The place is clean…the mattresses are old and super uncomfortable and the bedding needs updated…the entire cabin needs a good face lift. The kitchen is only minimally stocked but will do the job for light cooking. The freezer has two ice trays (one broken) so come with a bag of ice and you’re all good! Oh! And the water! Ok…so this is not a this cabin issue….this is this area issue….bring bottles water for drinking and cooking….the tap has a funky smell and is super soft so it can leave ya feeling a bit….well…..slick. So. To summarize…. The beds are mediocre The place needs a good face lift Bring your own water Bring a bag of ice THE VIEW AND PRIVACY ARE UNBEATABLE FOR THE PRICE! Enjoy yourself!

Not perfect but perfect for us

We paid less than 200/night. I definitely don’t think it was worth any more than what we paid for it. However, for the price, and for what we were looking for, it was really really good. Things to know before renting this cabin. 1. It is on a hard to find, hidden gravel road that would be pretty difficult to get to, especially in bad weather, without four wheel drive. Apple Maps couldn’t even begin to locate it by the address and google maps put us close to the house but not directly to it. We literally had to turn around once (not easy on a single lane wide gravel road) and then stop and use flashlights and our headlights to find the sign for it. It is also hidden behind a residential cabin so we didn’t even realize it was back there the first time driving by. If you rent it, go the first time during the day. 2. It says that it is secluded and one of only two cabins back there. That is a bit misleading because although there is another rental cabin next to it, there are also several residential houses in the same area. However, this cabin is probably 75 percent hidden by trees and just because of where it sits so you are still pretty secluded from everyone else. The hot tub was clean, hot, worked great. it sits back on the porch, in small area that is enclosed on 3 sides leaving the only open area toward the gorgeous view of the mountains. The area was clean and free of critters and bugs. However, there are no lights back in this area so at night it is very dark back in there. Other couples may enjoy the dark and seclusion back there like we did though. The house was clean enough but not perfect. There was some dust on some of the decor and a few of the walls could probably handle a good washing but the beds were clean and the downstairs one was very comfortable. Overall not bad. Pots and pan are sparse and show some ware on them but again, not so bad that it was any real bother. The upstairs tub was unusable because when we turned it on mold came out of the jets. The furniture is cheap, somewhat worn and not comfortable. Basic cable with no internet and my ATT phone has very little - no service in the cabin. We loved that this was tucked away on a gravel road. We were able to go on the mountain exploring. Found what we believe was a very old (not in use) still site, and what looks like the remains of an old cabin. It wasn’t a 5 star hotel, but clean, comfortable and enjoyable for us. Great for a couple.

I don’t typically like giving bad reviews

I wish I didn’t have to give a bad review but for what I paid I felt it necessary. The place is badly dated and in need of major upgrades including the deck which is rotting and very unsafe. Kitchen items were sparse. The beds are totally uncomfortable and your subfloors going to the master have a lot of give. We never could figure out the living room TV. The view is phenomenal but the cabin needs a major makeover or charge less because it wasn’t worth what I paid. So sorry to be as critical as I am and this is the first time since using VRBO I’ve had issues with a place.
