Perfect stay!

Gorgeous loft-style apartment in historic building in a fantastic central district. Nicely decorated and equipped. Extremely clean. Building was quiet and secure. Air conditioning worked very well (certainly to North American standards). Bathroom has the best shower we have yet encountered in Europe! Hosts were readily available and kindly let us stow our suitcases in their nearby shop while we did some sightseeing. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, comfortable, super safe, well equipped apartment in a great location!

We loved our stay at Palazzo Strozzi! It's beautiful, comfortable & a few minutes walk to all of the sites in Florence. There's great shopping, restaurants & a farmacia on the street and a great little grocery only a block away! Gaia was a fantastic hostess. Very prompt with communication & super helpful too. She called us a cab for the airport & it went super smoothly. We would highly recommend staying here & will stay here again when we come back to beautiful Firenze. Grazie Gaia!

Great spot!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is an adorable space. So charming and quaint, and located close to sites, restaurants, and stores. Very comfortable and spacious - the mattress was heavenly. We didn’t use the kitchen much, but it looked well outfitted. The stairs, which are described in the listing, would not be ideal for older folks, especially the historical flight of stairs in the unit. Street noise can be a little boisterous at night, but closing the shutters and wearing ear plugs did the trick. There is a little bustle here but we’d stay again - it’s worth it for the charming space and great location.

Magnifico!

We stayed three nights in this charming apartment in the heart of Florence. There is a two flight walk up, and the apartment is in two floors. The setting has many reminders of medieval architecture in the layout, ceiling and frescos. Very comfortable, adequate kitchen (no oven) and all Italian TV. One of the main features is location - 10 minute walk from the train station - easy walk to the Duomo, Ufizzi, Ponte Vecchio and most interesting sites, made it easy to explore Florence. The city is still very crowded with tourists in September. Wonderful stay!

Fabulous vacation rental in Florence!

I stayed in two of Gaia's apts in Florence for 7 nights and BOTH were lovely, very clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable, sheets and towels were wonderful soft quality, great AC for the hot Florence summer days, hot shower and clawfoot bathtub too! Simone and Stefano were friendly and very helpful with making sure I was comfortable and always available. The apts were centrally located so it made it easy to come home after a long day of touring and rest for an hour before heading out again. Gaia provided me with lovely soaps and shampoos, as well as olive oil as a welcome gift. She was extremely easy to work with and always available to answer any questions about the apt. I highly recommend her vacation rentals and will be telling all of my friends about this slice of heaven in Florence!! Thank you again for a lovely stay and hope to return again soon!! Best, Elizabeth

Good for some, not for us.

There were unfortunate situations that impeded our stay. The check-in process was, unfortunately, very confusing, and after a nine hour flight and two hour train ride, hard to deal with. Again, unfortunately, when we got there, there was no running water (due to some work being done on the building, we were told), and the flights of stairs to the property and stairs to the master bedroom were, for all intents and purposes, very hard for us to maneuver. We would never have been able to negotiate those stairways numerous times each day. All in all, an unfortunate start to our stay in Italy. We decided not to stay at the property, and, to date, no consideration was given to any sort of partial refund for our inconvenience and disappointment in the property. We ended up at a four-star grand hotel (thank goodness they had a room) and this is what we will do for future stays. No more VRBO for us.

Hi Linda, I am sorry for what have happened, our description is clear regarding the flat,I cannot understand where did you got the idea that it was stairs free,I've mentioned in our conversations prior arrival that there would have been two flights to get in and you've said that you were fine with this.Re the water issue the whole building was without it for about three hours cause some works to the pipelines, the water came back as expected Sincerely Gaia

Lovely little space in the center of it all.

The loft was very convenient to all the sites of interest, very clean, and quite comfortable. Be aware of two things, not the “fault” of the rental: there are some stairs to climb, and the downside of it being central is that it’s loud. It took us a night to realize that we’d need earplugs. That’s just the price of being in a crowded tourist area and staying in a historic building. The apartment has the basic necessities, but it’s not a “full” apartment. You can’t cook a meal, but you can make coffee and wash your clothes— use the towel warmer to dry them faster. It was roomy, clean, and perfect for our needs.

Great Florence Apartment!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! It was just a few minutes away from all the sites, but on a quiet street. We walked from the train station to the apartment and had quick access. We arrived before noon and was able to drop off all our bags and get the keys while they finished cleaning the space. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and tidy. The huge bed was super comfy with brand new sheets. The small kitchen had everything we needed for our small meal prep. The living room and dining area were also great to sit and unwind after our full days in the wonderful city and countrysides! Amazing restaurants very close (recommend iL Lantini just around the corner! Amazing everything. Try the house wine!) The apartment is on the 2nd floor with stair access only which was no problem for us. I was captivated by the ceiling and wall frescos the entire time we stayed there. It was a great find and we were happy to call this place home with in Florence! Gaia was our host and was super helpful during our stay. Thank you Gaia. We look forward to the next time!

Wonderful hosts

Pietro & Gaia’s apartment is a gem. It is beautifully decorated (with amazing high ceilings), with all the amenities you might need and in a perfect location. You are literally 10 min walking distance from the station and all main attractions. In our case Davide helped us with check in, which was a breeze. Pietro & Gaia sent us a pdf with tons of information on places to eat and grocery shopping in the neighborhood. The apartment is well equipped, with a spacious bathroom. For our family this worked perfectly. I highly recommend the apartment. Grazie Pietro & Gaia.
