The house is a lovely updated farmhouse, and the décor is very stylish and unique. The beds and bedding are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are all completely updated and very nicely done. We had a wonderful family gathering here for three nights in December, with two couples and seven millennials. Everything we needed was provided, and the kitchen, dining area, indoor fireplace, and excellent game room got plenty of use. We especially enjoyed the comfortable seating around the large indoor fireplace for family time and games. The kitchen is open and functional, although the cabinets could use some renovation and organization. The house is situated on the edge of a less well-kept part of Berryville close to other homes and close to an older industrial section. Once you arrive at the house, the setting is fairly private, although other homes are visible. In warmer weather, the huge lighted deck and outdoor firepit would have been really fun. Berryville is a good location for day trips to go hiking and exploring. We visited Harpers Ferry, hiked at Sky Meadows State Park, and visited a few breweries, a winery, and an antique store. The Outpost is a great place for quality family time! Note that we did have to ask for help with unlocking and accessing the fourth bedroom, which is a beautifully appointed master suite with full bath and king-sized bed.
