About this property

HappyNest at the Lake - Lake Lure upscale home with lake access and views.

"HappyNest at the lake" is a unique, private mountain getaway in the Town of Lake Lure which was chosen by Southern Living as the #1 lake town in the South!

With a view of beautiful Lake Lure and easy lake access, this stunning home is just a 3 minute stroll down the hill to a cove that is private to our small neighborhood.

Less than 10 minutes away are Chimney Rock State Park, the Lake Lure Marina and Beach, the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, the Rocky Broad River, restaurants, shops and other popular attractions. Guests frequently comment on our excellent location.

This three-story house has a very functional layout with bedrooms and baths on each floor. You can drive up to the first level, as well as up and around to the second (main) level. Thus, making it especially nice if stairs are an issue.

We’ve included a fun corn hole game, and 2 paddleboards down at the cove!

One of our favorite spots is the front porch, which we have furnished for dining and socializing where you can take in the views of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. Enjoy an early morning sunrise with fresh ground coffee on the porch or cook steaks on the gas grill with the fire pit going and the lake shimmering at dusk. Preparing a meal inside is also a dream with the thoughtfully equipped cook’s kitchen!

And be sure to check us out on Instagram!

We love life at Lake Lure in our "HappyNest" and are excited for you to be a part of it too!

We follow CDC and WHO recommendations for sanitizing procedures and products. Due to the Coronavirus, we're taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.

This home is located in a mountainous area, and we have occasional power outages. Also, while we provide the best Wi-Fi that is available in our area, the internet can sometimes be slow if multiple devices are logged on at once. This is true for most homes located in the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area. We cannot be held responsible for possible electrical power outages, or if the internet is not working or is too slow, as these are circumstances beyond our control, and no refunds will be given.

While we rarely have heavy snows, if you are coming to the mountains in winter or early spring, you must be prepared for the possibility of some ice and/or snow.

Everything wonderful…
We had a great time at this beautiful property! It was nicely equipped, modern pretty decor, and very clean. There were 8 of us and everyone said they just wanted to stay! It was also Thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, pool table, lanyard station, and especially the paddleboards at the cove. My grandson liked the cabinet with some toys and games. My husband and I stayed in the lower level and really appreciated the fairy light banner along the hallway. It helped light the way in the middle of the night. And, the neighborhood was very nice. Made for great walks. It was close to restaurants and Chimney Rock. And, last but not least, Heather and Sharon also responded quickly with any questions we had along the way. Super nice to work with. We hope to be back soon!

Picture perfect Lake Lure getaway
Beautiful inside and out & exactly as it appears in the photos, this house is by far the nicest rental home we have ever stayed in. Heather and Sharon thought of everything and then some :) they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. Soft beds, fantastic location, beautiful lake views & tons of fun extras make this an ideal getaway, especially if you like to spend some of your vacation time relaxing and cooking at home. We would rent again in a heartbeat!

Why they chose this property

We bought our Lake Lure home because we fell in love with this area. Our home is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood close to area attractions, but slightly off the beaten path. We love the "A" frame architecture, the large deck, the very functional layout of the house, the drive up to the main floor, and the tall beautiful trees surrounding the property. We were especially impressed that it had far more parking than most homes here.

We love the spacious, light and airy feeling on the main level with views of the lake and mountains. We named our home "HappyNest" because it feels like a "tree house" with views of lush greenery out the bedroom windows.

What makes this property unique

We also love having access to a cove that is private to our neighborhood. We've included 2 paddle boards and oars for our guests to use.
