This remodeled historic bungalow is an unbeatable choice for downtown Asheville adventures, located in the only part of the city that permits whole-house vacation rentals (Woodfin.) A no-brainer for easy access to downtown Asheville, but also an amazing homebase for river adventures, and a central hub for day-trip hikes to the Parkway or the Smokies. Bright, sunny, space with views of surrounding mountaintops and river - in the winter the French Broad River can be seen just over the treetops. Located in a quiet neighborhood immediately north of Downtown Asheville, with a brewery within walking distance at the end of the block and another brewery 1/2 mile away. Close to several river parks and the River Arts district, but most of all crazy convenient to downtown. If you're looking for an affordable, comfortable, convenient space to tackle both Asheville and the outdoors, this is it.
Situated on a hill just above the French Broad River, in what is easily one of Ashevilles most convenient and underrated neighborhoods. You’re 2 miles from all that Downtown has to offer, with some amazing neighborhood gems close by, like Asheville’s two newest breweries within a mile, High Five Riverside coffee shop, or Asheville Community Yoga.
Just a little further up river are several great bars and restaurants, including the Salvage Station (outdoor bar and concert venue), Smoky Park Supper Club (one of Ashevilles most revered fine dining spots) or Ole Shakeys (Asheville's most revered best dive bar).
The house is situated just off Riverside Drive which is a very popular road biking destination that winds its way seemingly forever away from Asheville into gorgeous countryside and the legendary rugged terrain of Madison County. Great for scenic drives or access for boating excursions, or day trips to Marshall NC, one of the most scenic mountain towns you’ll ever see. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway with epic trailheads within a half hours drive.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, sehr angenehme und verbindliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter. Alles sehr fein. Leider aber ein sehr lauter Highway direkt am Hang über dem Haus. Deshalb nur vier Sterne. Ansonsten alles fein.
This site has plenty of room; washer and dryer, dishwasher, comfortable beds. It's very close to all Asheville places of interest. I plan to stay there again.

About the host
Your host
My name is Ben, I am happy to answer any questions you may have either before booking or during your stay. I am an Asheville native, property manager, and banjo player.
Why they chose this property
I lived in this house personally for over 2 years and loved it, and purchased the house next door and remodeled it also. I love the way the sun shines through the windows all day long, especially in the morning. I love how well the heat and AC works. The convenience it offers for both adventure and access to Asheville is really top shelf, I've lived in several burroughs of downtown Asheville, and this one has the least traffic coming and going. By booking you're supporting an Asheville local's enterprise, vs an out of town vacation rental conglomerate. I'm here for any housekeeping needs or general questions about the area as needed.
What makes this property unique
Minimal traffic getting into town (avoid interstates). Walk to two breweries, or uber for less than 10 bucks. Views of the river in the wintertime. Owner/Asheville native lives next door. Super cute English Shepherd dog on premises
