This home is situated on the property in a way that makes it very private, safe and a relaxing space. The home had everything we needed. There was a nice size table in the kitchen with really good light for playing games. Actually, the lighting throughout the house was the best I have had in a rental. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer. Hope to stay here again in the future when we plan to visit family.
The house was VERY clean, beds comfortable. We were at a conference so not hanging out by the pool. Only note is that the place could use a refresh, but it isn’t dirty or offensive at all.
The house was spacious and offered a great price with comfortable beds. However, the linens and towels could use an update, and some areas of the home would benefit from newer, more modern touches. Overall, it was a good stay, but I’d likely look for a more updated property next time.
Overall the property was perfect for our stay. We were in town to visit Lassen Volcanic NP. Only minor issue I had was that we were not aware the pool was a shared space. I would have preferred it being just for us but it wasn’t a major issue. Would still highly recommend this property
Great stay! It rained the whole time we were there so we didn’t get to use the pool! It was quiet and spacious for our family and kitchen was perfect for cooking meals. Beds were comfortable for all! The only minor request would be for some table or floor lamps in living room for nighttime gathering. The fan lights were fine but very bright and too stark. Also we could not get volume to work in remotes so used buttons on TV. The extra amenities were very appreciated and laundry facilities were great to have to dry wet coats. Thank you for a comfortable stay- we will be back in May!!
We stayed for one night and the accommodations were just what we expected. The owner provided an excellent suggestion for dinner, Nello’s Place, which was very close (Italian).
Very clean, very nice property!! Had everything you could want all the amenities!! Coffemaker, hot pot, grinder. Whole bean coffee, teas. Lots of games, nice patio area!! Easy check in and out. Would definitely stay again! Sadly did not have time for the pool :(
Lots of room, quiet neighborhood, good parking. 15 minutes away by bicycle from the Sacramento River Trail and the Sundial Bridge. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The location, space, host were perfect for our getaway. The neighborhood was quiet. The space was open and relaxing. It was a place of rest. Thank you for opening this home to others. God's grace & peace be with you.
We shared a pool with another house but other than that, the place was entirely ours. There were apple, fig, olive, and cherry trees… what a delight! House was charming and the host was great.

Everything was really nice. Info sent at time of check-in surprised us with news that we’d be sharing the pool; I’m glad that wasn’t the case for our stay. I don’t remember reading that in the details and that’s info I’d like up front. If I missed it, that’s on me. We didn’t get the chance but was hoping to use the table on the patio by the pool to play a board game but that wouldn’t have been possible without an umbrella for sun protection and we didn’t feel like the table on the covered/shaded patio was part of the common area. The 3 bedroom accommodation was great (1 bath) and it was pretty clean. I cleaned bacon off the big pan before using (this happens and is easy to miss so no big deal). I was disappointed to learn that besides the 1 roll of TP in the bathroom, there was only 1 other roll available.Need a new pool net. The pool is the reason for our stay and we appreciate you sharing the accommodations. We definitely see the effort to make guests feel welcomed and I’d be very happy to stay here again. Communication was excellent.
We were scheduled to check in on 9/3. Received an email with the address on 8/31 and no other check in information. Check in time was at 4, but we were out until after 9. I realized I never received any further check in information so I sent a message when we were about 40 minutes out. I hadn’t received a response in about 20 minutes, so I tried to call and went straight to voicemail (left a message and NEVER received a call back). Drove to the address and knocked on the door of the property that is on the same property, which turned out to be the owners property. The son said his mother was out of town with no reception so he gave me the code and told me where the house was. We never received WiFi information, no code for the TV, or anything related to check out, nothing. One of the twin beds, two of the posts on the bottom were broken so the mattress fell through. The water will SCOLD you and the spigot leaks hot water and gets so hot you can’t even touch it without it burning you. She finally messaged me at 10:45 am this morning telling me what to do for check out when we had already left. Do NOT recommend this place. There are much better places to stay for a comparable price.
This lovely little house is clean, safe and ideally located for anything you'd want to do in Redding with onlye32 a 3-to-5-minute drive. The property was quiet.
There is a covered porch with outdoor furniture for relaxed sitting with an adult beverage.
The kitchen has all the basics for cooking and dining in. Our dinner last night was $12 for the 3 of us versus $60 if we'd have gone out for the same meal.
The beds were comfortable. There is one bathroom with tons of towels and shampoo/soaps.
Our host was responsive to messages and questions. If I need to stay in that area again, I'd pick this house.

I have lived in Redding , Ca for 18 years. I have raised my children here and have a large support group from family and friends. I have been part of many groups throughout the years. Mom supports, woman groups, etc... there is a great community here. I have traveled to many countries . I lived in Mexico for a few years. I have been part of mission groups and done a lot on my own too. I have four children. One is out on her own. I have been a widow for 10 years. I take my kids camping and on road trips to the beach. We love going to Catalina where my grandma lives and visiting my friends I grew up with there.
I love Redding and all the beautiful hikes , water scenes, and trails for bikes. I am sure there is something for everyone!
Why they chose this property
Our neighborhood is right on the sacramento river with safe neighbors all around us. There are many fruit trees in the backyard that you will see on your way into our beloved home. If you feel like taking dip in the pool its right across the way.
