The house was generally comfortable. The living room sofa was uncomfortable, as we sunk in the cushions, making it hard to get out. We enjoyed the amenities and saw it is family friendly.
Our stay was just perfect! The house accommodated our group of 12! The kids absolutely loved all the toys and games. Of course the pool was a hit! One day was spent at the property just in the pool. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful.
Loved that it was pet friendly. My daughters enjoyed the pool and the game room. It was nice and quiet. Everything we needed was available to us. Will definitely book this again.
Perfect Spot for Families – Don’t Miss Out!If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and truly family-friendly place to stay, this is it! The property exceeded our expectations – spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. It felt like a home away from home. We had such a great experience that we’re already planning our next stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stress-free and enjoyable vacation—book it, you won’t regret it!
Our stay was awesome! This house was very nice and had everything that we needed and then some. The basement area was perfect for my teens and we all enjoyed the pool and a/c. The kitchen was perfect for the many meals we prepared and having the extra refrigerator was an added bonus. Lastly, the beds in this home are so super comfortable, definitely would recommend this rental.
We had a great time here at Montana Grove and exploring the surrounding lakes, mountains and charming historical towns. The pool and yard are perfect for summer but this would be good in winter too with all the games and toys downstairs. The beds were comfortable and the house is beautifully decorated. The house had all we needed and more. We hope to stay again!
It was good overall. We had to go to the store to get coffee filters. There were not enough paper towels. The pool could have been cleaner. The outside fire pit didn’t work and the spa was not running.Just so you k ow. Otherwise very sweet place.

Awe thank your for your stay and feedback. We apologize for the propane out on the firepit. The hot tub seemed to be running when we had our pool tech check it out. We think it had been turned down during the hot weather. We have now adjusted back to fall temperatures.
Your feedback helped us correct these items. We apologize for any impacted your stay.
The home was lovely & roomy. In fact I would love to buy it if it wasn't in CA. But the pool was great since it was 106 to 108 on the days we were there so if we weren't in the pool, we were in the air conditioned home. Had everything we needed. Only thing for us, was the beds were not real comfortable, but then I have a bad back so not too many beds are to me, but the others said the same thing and the sofa in the family room is very low and hard, and again I couldn't sit on due to my back. I know this is more a personal problem than anything else. We really enjoyed our stay, and the owner was very nice and responsive to our request and needs. Very nice people and we highly recommend this home for any family vacation. You can't go wrong on this choice. The Anderson's:
This was a great place for our family gathering (8 adults, 4 kids, 1 infant) and we would stay there again. This is not a “4*”, super high-end accommodation, which honestly could be nervewracking for a big crew with kids. It’s a 3, very nice. Everything was clean, inside and out. Very comfortable, very well stocked, spacious for our needs. Kitchen has 2 refrigerators, new washer/dryer, spices, some Tupperware (good for taking things on the boat), air fryer, multiple coffee maker types. Bedrooms were very comfortable, though downstairs was hot (granted, it was over 105 degrees outside most of our stay), plenty of towels and bathroom products. Separate tv room, living room, dining room. Pool was a hit – very clean, toys, life jackets (we had our own). Downstairs the air hockey and games were a hit. There is parking for cars and a boat, but as communicated, parking and taking boat/trailer out is not simple. Suggestions (just nice to haves): some kind of outdoor shower, a shower curtain for downstairs, luggage racks for bedrooms. Thank you for a comfortable stay!
The property was perfect for our family group of 10. The pool isn't as big as it looks in the pictures, but it worked wonderfully. The bunk beds and game room offered privacy for the teen, tween and 6 year old and a moments peace for the adults. The adults also enjoyed the ping pong, poker table and air hockey. The bedrooms were decent size but I wish more VRBO's had multiple king bed rooms. We originally had a 10:00 check out time but appreciated the extension to 11am we were given without asking. The host sent plenty of informative communication and was always quick to answer questions. I liked that there wasn't any left over mysterious food items from previous guests. Plenty of kitchen amenities. 2 refridgerators was nice. Pool potty room was handy. Nice seating areas and shade in the back yard/pool area. It really was a good stay. My only complaint was the indoor sitting area funiture. Sit on almost any piece of furniture and sink to the floor. Hard to get out of, especially holding a newborn, and/or 60 plus years old. It was just uncomfortable. But a very enjoyable time and space.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay, look no further! Montana Grove is a GEM. Stayed there with family, we were 5 adults, 3 kids, a baby, and 2 small dogs. This house is spacious enough to come together for movie night, breakfast and dinner, but also have peace in our own private spaces. Pool feels very private, and was very clean and you best believe we enjoyed it very much! Kid cave downstairs was a hit for the kids! The scenery surrounding the house is just so beautiful! Driveway makes me so jealous, very spacious and so much trees! Out of every window, and while you’re out by the pool, just beautiful greenery! If you’re lucky you’ll see squirrels in the trees! The only mishap we had was at check in, I can’t stress enough to look up the instructions the host sends you on how to use the door lock to avoid any issues. My bad! Luckily the host was able to resolve our issue remotely, and we didn’t have any issues after that. What more can I say? Like I said, this house is a gem!If you do book this house I recommend a drive to Burney Falls, Shasta Caverns, Whiskeytown Lake, and Turtle Bay Exploration Park (make sure to buy a ticket to feed the parrots! And on your way over to feed the parrots, look down from the wood bridge, we saw deers right below us!!!).
The house was clean and large enough for our gathering. Plenty of space to park in the driveway, in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was an amazing game room/kids area. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were a little dirty, though it seems to be a time of the year with a high pollen output in the area. All in all this was a good home, and everyone who stayed there had a good time.
