Comfortable and beautiful, but strict rules even in daytime.

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Three spacious rooms. I stayed in the one with a twin bed because the room also had a desk, and I need to work remotely. The bed was super comfortable so the size was not a problem. There are people staying in a dwelling that seems to be created from the garage, and you can hear those guests through the wall when they are talking just normally. The living, dining and kitchen areas are quite stylishly appointed, and we would to have had a few friends over during the day while we killed time waiting for our 45th hs reunion to begin instead of hanging out at a restaurant. Unfortunately, short term rental owners are limited by very strict Los Angeles rules regarding guests; I do understand those rules for overnight guests, but not for anyone who might stop by during the day--which have to pay an extra fee, with the owner's permission first. None of this was clear until after I paid for the reservation. It was such a comfortable and attractive house that it seemed a shame to not feel like we used it as fully as we wanted to. the owner is very nice, and patient with my many questions, and very quick to respond. He's on top of things! The location was PERFECT in a quiet and safe neighborhood. If it was just me and I had no family around that would want to come over, it would have been great. I still highly recommend it.

Quiet neighborhood

We stayed here while working on a project. My truck and tools were secure and the house was very comfortable. If I was working up here again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Easy spot to stay, clear communication

Seemed like a tried and true professional vacation rental without loose ends. Was a bit cold in the bedrooms where the heat didn’t circulate but not a big deal. Nice backyard area with fruit trees. Good location.

Why they chose this property

Venice is happening and hip, with a unique character. It is home to many restaurants, shops, and coffee houses. Grab a bike or scooter and explore the neighborhood or head down to the beach nearby. We are a little over one mile from the beach.

What makes this property unique

The main house is connected to a separate guest suite at the front of the house. There is a common wall behind a bookcase, but other than that there is 100% separation. there is no common area shared. The only way to cross paths is in the outside parking area or on the street.
