About the host
Hosted by Lindsey
I am a Western North Carolina local. I purchased the property while working in the service industry and as a house cleaner for vacation rentals in the Asheville area. My intentions with the property are to provide a quality place for folks to enjoy the magic of Madison County and support my goal of becoming a professional native plant grower, land steward and gardener.
Why they chose this property
I dreamt of living in Madison County for 20 years, since I first moved to Asheville during high school. It was my get-away place. I fell in love with this house as soon as I saw it 10 years ago . The house has a history of being a family gathering place and a creative space. The quiet natural setting is perfect for my lifestyle as I love to trail run at Bailey Mountain and enjoy being away from traffic and city noise, surrounded by beautiful forest land.
What makes this property unique
Close enough to downtown Mars Hill to bike or walk, but still rural. Walking distance to excellent hiking with stunning views. The house has great natural light with pretty views and always feels nice to be in. The stars and moon are very visible outside on clear nights. The fireflies are amazing in the summertime, when they cover the mountains with a splendid light show each night. The sound of the stream across the street and tons of birdsongs help make the magical vibe of the neighborhood and property.
