Bedroom with 1 double bed, with two double windows directly onto the Grand Canal; the canal is beneath the windows and has an amazing view on the gondolas that go by. A private bathroom communicates with bedroom, it has a bath, toilet on the ground floor. Outside the private bedroom suite ( than can be locked) there is a foyer area where guests may sit and leave luggage next to which a door opens onto a dock on the Grand Canal. From there you can see the Rialto bridge. At the back, a garden/courtyard is at the disposal of guests. Please note that when owners or their friends are staying in the separate upstairs apartment (they are not always there), they will use the foyer for access to the dock and boat on Grand Canal, and the back garden/courtyard. Television, wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle are available. There is no kitchen however or real kitchen facilities.
Description of site: the apartment is located in a Palazzo in the most exclusive area of Venice in San Marco, and faces onto the Grand Canal. A very popular family cafe-restaurant is one minute from the front gate of the Palazzo where an excellent breakfast as well as the other meals are available. While it is very practical for all communications, located two minutes between two Vaporetto stops (Sant'Angelo and San Samuele) and one minute from a traghetto stop (to cross the Canal), within three minutes to the elegant San Stefano square and ten minutes walk to the Rialto, it is well out of the tourist flow and very quiet and peaceful.

We loved the location as it’s really quite but a short walk to the city center. The private dock is perfect for enjoying the Grand Canal & the nearby restaurant has the best pizza! Charming room & perfect way to see Venice!

Thank you for the great review, so happy you enjoyed your stay in our home.
Very simple place but was wonderful. Convenient to San Angelo Vaporetto stop with a couple of bridges to traverse with suitcases. We really enjoyed sitting out by the canal enjoying wine watching the traffic go by.

Best location in Venice
Location, location, location. Not only can you sit out On the Grand Canal and watch the world go bye, but you are centrally located to walk to all the top spots in Venice. Small but a great value for your money considering the location.

Were were great guests and we thank you for the wonderful review.
The view alone exceeded our expectations. Located right in the middle of everything, the whole city is a quick walk or vaporetto ride away.
The owners are very responsive and answered all of our questions.
How beautiful to sit out every morning and having breakfast with the boat traffic going past!! It is a perfect spot. No Gritti Palace, but good value and nice to live in the neighborhood with a 5 star local corner restaurant 100 ft up the street and a grocery store-walk to St. Mark’s

One of the best experiences we could have imagined in Italy. Gracious host. Excellent care takers. Romantic and secluded yet steps away from everything. If you are a creative person, I dare you to not find inspiration here.

thanks so much. loved having you. such a pleasure to hear you enjoyed your stay.
This property more than exceeded our expectations and we would rent again. Caretaker made exceptional transportation arrangements for us and our guests. Property is located with easy access by foot, vaporetto and water taxi. Kitchen/dining had everything we needed even for dinners on site. We had the unexpected delight to meet our host and only wish we had more time to get to know her. We would highly recommend this property and would stay again without hesitation.

Great location right on the canal
Great location, cool old building on the canal with a small deck to sit on and watch the boats. During low tide, the bathroom smelled horrendously, which we were then told was common in Venice. Living room was a shared common area that was not clear from the listing. Quite surprised that the only private area was the bedroom.

Common areas in hotels are common area although it is unlikely anyone shared the suite's sitting area as people on the the upper floor have their own sitting area-- the bedroom/ bathroom is a person's private as in hotels. Venice is famous for it smell at very high tide and very low tide as a lot of drains still go int the canals. The suite has anti smell machines -- simply a matter of switching them on.
The sweet apartment is tucked in a wonderful neighborhood in Venice within walking distance to all attractions, restaurants, water taxis, and local hangouts. My fiance and I created so many memories having coffee, wine, & cheese on the boat dock watching the boat traffic pass. The host and property manager were so helpful with their recommendations as well as with helping arrange convenient transfers from the airport and to the train station. Highly recommended
Unsecured bedroom and the pictures must be from years ago, the place does not look the same. There is a sign in the bathroom apologizing for the cold water. Broken windows with holes in the bedroom. I would call it a Guaranteed Divorce before calling it a Honeymoon Suite.

Dear Ryan, we were sorry to learn that you had made a mistake on your booking choice and very surprised that you left saying it was unsecure, when there are 5 consecutive locked grid doors to get to the honeymoon. In the last 84 reviews we have never had any complaint of this sort. The Honeymoon on Grand Canal is exactly as on the photos, it is most unjust that you blame your mistake on us. We take great care in making our guests feel at home, and we were shocked at your attitude and that you should write that photos didn’t correspond to the suite, as this is not true. Not to mention that you delayed your last VRBO payement causing alot of hassel to us. Concerning the window, we had just installed a new silent air conditioner on the wall, and the glass window hole (9cm in diameter) as I had explained was in the process of being changed. There was no danger on windows, as there are grills on them outside and they close and open perfectly.

A special place!
This charming apartment offers the rare, rare opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind experience in Venice. From peering out the beautiful old windows in the morning, through a sojourn on the dock during the day or in the sparkling evening, we had the privilege of being able to witness daily life on the Grand Canal. Other reviewers have painted a more detailed picture of the facilities and wonderful neighborhood, but I would just like to say that my husband and I feel extremely fortunate to have found this unique and delightfully intimate refuge.
Really unique place. The dock you can sit on on the grand canal is excellent! The only thing I didn't like is that the dock is shared with a unit upstairs. The unit is definitely a rental unit and not used by the owner and her friends as stated. I met the folks staying there and they rented it. They were from Canada. Also, the living room the living room is a common area.

These are too separate and locked areas and in no way combined. The upstairs unit is a complete apartment with window sitting areas and not shared in any way with the downstairs unit. The downstairs unit is a bedroom and bathroom area with a sitting area outside the room which has a refrigerator, coffee machine and microwave for unique use of the downstairs unit. ~~~~~The garden area and Grand Canal dock sitting area are not exclusive to either area

It’s all a couple needs!!
Room was clean. Bathroom was nice. The location is excellent. Right in the heart of Venice. Owners communication was excellent. Person met us upon arrival. The balcony outside was great to just watch the boats go by. The price is very reasonable for the location. We used the location for our post-cruise. Many nice shops and restaurants very close by the property. The water boat dock is very close by also. After our trip we were able to go over to the doc and take the 40 minute boat ride to the airport. Piece of cake :-)

So romantic!
Small but everything you need. Wonderful restaurant down at the entry of the walkway. We are there several times. Grocery stores nearby as well. The best is sitting on the deck on the Grand Cansl. In the morning quite busy and the late afternoon lots to watch. If you don’t want to hear the water lapping and the boats until midnight, you can turn on the ac and you’ll just hear the fan. Quite a rare find on the Canal. Owners are very nice and them and their caretaker will take good care of you.

Once we found it, we loved it! A secret spot too good not to share.
We didn't have a cell phone that works in Italy, and could not reach a person to meet us at the vaporetto stop. We were tired & made a wrong turn on our own, so didn't find the location immediately. Thankfully, Leah (spelled?) was there and let us in, showed us how to use the keys. Once settled in - WOW! Great location, wonderful view of the Grand Canal, close to eateries. Room had everything we needed, and we were very happy. After 5 years of watching this listing, husband & I finally made it. Totally recommend this VRBO, Great views and not a far walk to San Marco's square. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

A Unique Experience in Venice
This property is perfect for a couple looking for a unique experience in Venice. The room is very quiet if the windows are closed, but we enjoyed leaving the windows open to hear the activity on the canal. There is hardly any boat traffic at night so the gentle sound of the water lapping against the building is very calming. Very convenient to two waterbus stops. This place is so perfectly located in Venice. We were close to everything without being subjected to the crowds. The grocery store close to the apartment is well stocked and the restaurant is excellent with friendly staff. We just had a great time during our three day visit and recommend this apartment without any hesitation. The owner is very responsive and the local caretaker spoke English well. Very good communication. I don't believe that there are many properties like this in Venice. We feel very fortunate to have found this one.

Great views and neighborhood. Manager just a text away. Marie thanks for your beautiful spot...and the welcoming Prosecco.
Only suggestions...a little mosquito spray and coming from airport get off at San Samuele. Thank you all, Mary & Karen
Romantic cozy , secluded yet everything a short walk away
Romantic cozy , secluded yet everything a short walk away. Owner Karen very friendly, pleasant, kind . Many photos and great memories inspired to start painting again
This is our favorite location for staying in Venice. The city is at your doorstep. From the deck and out the window you can watch the city at work and play. Just a short walk away is a well stocked specialty grocery and good restaurants. Here you are away from the crowds of tourists, and at the same
time, close to main sites in the city. We walked almost everywhere. For longer explorations, two vaporetto stops are close by, and a tragetto stop too. Communication is prompt and easy. Thanks Karen & Marie Helene!

Why they chose this property
I spend not just 'vacations' here but throughout the year. Venice is one of the few cities which can really be called 'unique'; beauty walks with you throughout the city. Peace, beauty, delight.
What makes this property unique
From our windows I watch Venice sail down the Grand Canal; I can hop over to almost any part of the town by boat when I so wish, as well as get out to the delightful little islands which pepper the laguna. Peaceful in the midst of a much-visited place, because our house is out of the tourist paths but in the center of everything at the same time!
