Amazing view and perfect location for seeing the Redwoods. The house had a lived-in feel that made it feel like I was staying with a friend. We stayed over Christmas, and a tree and decorations were set up when we arrived, which was an appreciated touch! The hot tub was slow to warm up from being cleaned before we arrived, but once it did, our favorite thing to do was hang out in the hot tub and enjoy the view! This place was private, great location, and pet-friendly - everything we were looking for!
All 8 members of my family absolutely loved your property to say nothing of the fabulous nearby Redwoods. Only negative was that people had responsibilities which limited the duration of our stay.

The views were amazing, the house was nice and roomy.
We enjoyed a peaceful stay overlooking the ocean with plenty of space for our family of 5. Beds are very comfortable. The hot tub was a bonus for us to relax with a great view. The property managers responded promptly to our questions. Would stay again!

Spring Break
This house was great, spacious with plenty of beds. The kids loved the giant dog stuffed animals and said the house was a "dream house". Beautiful view. Even saw a deer!

Family including infant, children, teens and adults shared a great space. Close to the beach, campgrounds, trail heads, convenience store, and 4 state and national parks. Some of our party camped nearby. Clean, quiet, beautiful view. Would love to come again.

Great stay
This was a great spot to stay. It was close enough to all the sites we wanted to visit, but also removed from the crowds - very serene and peaceful. Landscape was beautiful, spent each morning in the yard watching hummingbirds fly all around.
The house had all the supplies we needed, a quick stop in eureka for food allowed us to enjoy our morning and evening meals in the comfort of the house instead of eating out all the time.
Only real hiccup we had was not being able to get the satellite TV to work. It’s in a pretty remote spot, but they did provide us with WiFi, so we just used our phones to watch evening shows.
Thanks for lending us your space for a few days while we enjoyed the beautiful Redwoods!
We were looking for something casual and comfortable with lots of space and a great location -and this was perfect. The property was clean, the view of the ocean is beautiful, and it is located within driving distance to go easily both north and south to park destinations. House was fully equipped and was well set up for children and extended family. Several eating spaces including large deck. Laundry was so nice to have available after a day of hiking or tide pooling. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful and peaceful home.
We had a great time in this home. We were exploring the Redwoods with our 10 year old son. He LOVED the ping pong table and hot tub. We also enjoyed playing board games at night. The location was great, conveniently located between Trinidad and Klamath. We were able to enjoy several beautiful trails nearby. The house was clean, well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable.
We showed up and furnace was out. The owners dealt with this immediately. The house was very clean, kitchen was fully equipped and the deck view is amazing. They provided stuff for nice cozy fireplace evenings.
The Lagoon House is great. There was plenty of room for 10 of us. The beds were comfortable and what an awesome view to wake up to! Kitchen is stocked well and spacious. Washer/dryer worked well. Local grocery store has enough to get by.
And the best part is it is a short drive to Redwoods Park where you can see otherwordly scenery! The perfect base camp for family adventures into the park. And plenty to do at the house if you find yourself staying there. Would love to stay here again.
The property is as described, kitchen was very well equipped.
Bathrooms are great
Lots of flowers and scrubs.
Cleaning of house could be better!
Walked into a spider hanging in middle of kitchen.
Overall really really enjoyed ourselves!!
Great views

What a view!! Serene & Private
Loved our weeklong stay! Perfect getaway during these crazy COVID-quarantine times!! The property was incredibly private and perched on a hillside, offering immaculate views to enjoy a refreshing cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at sunset. The place is a little dated, but it's as advertised. You're in the Redwoods after all!! Get outdoors and soak in scene!! Overall, the house was comfortable and perfect for our small family...we had zero issues, but owner is nearby if we needed anything.
The perfect way to experience Northern California!
The pictures do NOT do this location justice. If you are on the fence about booking, jump off that fence. This home is cozy, the hot tub is perfect for sipping coffee in the morning, the flowers are beautiful, the views are unbelievable, tons of toys for the little ones, and older teens. Everyone loved the piano! We could easily access multiple areas, we visited fern canyon (note you must reserve this in advance, we could not get in but took the drive) Elk Meadow which had the most beautiful stream and waterfall, Trees of mystery, which was WELL worth the trip, Trinidad State Beach which was breathtaking, we got tattoos in Arcada (recommend Tru Nature - Eva was great! ) and we also visited the beach across from the lagoon from the house which we had all to ourselves! We even picked wild blackberries on the road to the house to eat. Amazing family time!

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Amazing view through dirty windows
The view is amazing. However, the property manager needs to make sure the cleaning crew cleans. There were countless spiders/webs inside throughout the home. The interior & exterior of all windows, especially those that face the lagoon & ocean, were extremely dirty and had a lot of dead bugs and old spider webs on them.
The listing undersells this property! It feels larger and nicer in person. Views are amazing - not just the lagoon, ocean view too! The kids loved the cat that visited daily, the frogs in the pond, the mass of ripe blackberry bushes, and the banana slugs covering them in the mornings.
Orick is a great central location for access to Prairie Creek State Park which has a ton of nice hikes for little kids, fern canyon, and also some National Park locations. It’s also a great spot for quick access to the nearby beach, or to head south to more epic beach landscapes or for dining options. We saw elk there everyday!
The kitchen was nice to cook in, and the big primary bedroom worked great for a couple with very young kids to all be together. The ping pong and air hockey in the garage were also a big hit.
We’d love to stay here again, highly recommend!
The house met our needs, and the notebook of things to do and suggested restaurants was helpful. However, there were no written instructions on how to use the amenities in the house. For example, no instructions on how to connect to any stations on the tv, there was no Wi-Fi, but there was no listing of any places we could go to get free access to the internet. We were very disappointed that we were not able to get the fireplace to work, we tried many things, but there were no directions on how to work it.
