About this property

Edgartown House and guest house Waterview Peaceful Close to town and beaches

Welcome to our peaceful and private island retreat, where beautiful ocean views, abundant wildlife, and a wonderfully secluded setting come together—yet you’re just minutes from all that Edgartown has to offer.

Located near Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, the property is surrounded by nature and tranquility. You’ll enjoy frequent visits from beautiful birds, and an occasional peacock may even make an appearance! Although the setting feels wonderfully secluded, you’re only about two miles from Edgartown Harbor and just minutes from several of Martha’s Vineyard’s most beautiful beaches.

The house has been recently renovated and is designed for comfortable summer living. The beautifully updated kitchen features granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances, while new mini-split air conditioning systems keep the house cool and comfortable on warm summer days.

The large extended front deck is perfect for morning coffee, relaxing with a good book, or dining outdoors while taking in the beautiful surroundings. A gas grill is provided for easy summer cookouts, and beach chairs and other beach essentials are already at the house for your convenience.

In addition to the main house, there is a separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest house, also equipped with mini-split air conditioning and offering beautiful water views. It’s an ideal space for in-laws, extended family, or guests who would appreciate a little extra privacy.

The property offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, secluded setting surrounded by nature and water views, while being just minutes from Edgartown’s restaurants, shops, harbor, and beaches.

About the host

We are a family with 4 children. They are now mostly grown up. We also have 5 grandchildren. The children spent their summers at this house going to the beach, camps, taking tennis and golf lessons and when they were older they worked on the Vineyard and were able to bike to their jobs. We have lots of wonderful memories of our Vineyard summers.

Why they chose this property

We have been vacationing in MVY since 1978. We loved the privacy of this house and the views. It feels like you are really away on vacation, yet it is very convenient to whatever activities you want to do.
