Had a fantastic week staying here with our party of 6. Plenty of room for everyone to get comfy and a fantastic game area in the garage/first floor. Each evening we were able to relax out on the wrap around patio overlooking the river. The property was well equipped to make our stay comfortable and the communication with the host was excellent. Loved the house. It was very clean and well kept. Owner was great. My kids loved playing darts and the billiard table. Loved the views of the river and big deck. Only regret was the weather wasn’t a little warmer to enjoy the deck more. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay on the River

Beautiful home and great scenery. We were in town for the Brad Wallin Memorial tournament, so we didn't get to enjoy the home as much as we wanted. If we are ever in the area again we will definately try and rent this place again.

Extended holiday stay

Enjoyed the river views and barge traffic while staying warm and cozy indoors. Perfect size for a family of four. Close to grocery but remote enough to have a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Jason was a good communicator and responsive when needed.

River Respite

The photos in the listing do not do this property justice. It is very clean, comfortable and has all you would need to feel right at home! You can tell the family who owns it takes pride in caring for others. The river offers a unique mix of soothing water sounds, friendly little wildlife and the occasional traveling barge. Whatever you might need is a short distance away, but you are far enough away in a very quiet neighborhood.

Excellent property

The property was just as advertised. Upon arrival we were very appreciative of the garage, as it was raining that evening, and it was great to be able to unpack the vehicles inside. The view of the river from the deck was great. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, as we were visiting relatives in the area, but that would have been a very nice place to relax and unwind at the end of the day for anyone that would be spending more of their time at the home. This would definitely be my first choice to check out again for a stay in this area.

Great house!

We loved staying there! It doesn’t feel like you’re in the Illinois River, more like a lake. Beautiful scenery and views from the decks. Even saw a river otter from the deck. Kids loved watching the barges go by.
