Home was as described online fit all 16 of us very comfortable. The homeless clean and fully equipped with linens pots pans utensils, barbecue two different coffee makers. We had a great time.
Great location within a few minutes to the Village and to the lake waterfront. Nice amenities within property except for the TVs had no cable/satellite service.
The house easily accommodated our family reunion of 15 adults and a few small children. The kitchen was well stocked, and it was great to have garage access with the extra fridge. We noticed a few maintenance/repair items, but none that ruined the fun weekend. Thanks, Mike
Plenty of room for large family gatherings.
Kids of all ages had plenty of activities. Convenient location.
Clean and comfortable beds.
The views were breathtaking!
We had a super fun time.
We had an awesome time at the valley view cabin. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful deck and the lake view with many family photos taken there. The fire pit was definitely a plus. The house has plenty of rooms, beds and activities for our big family reunion and keeps everybody entertained. I would suggest updating some of the kitchen tools, pots n pans etc as they are getting kind of old and scratched and perhaps providing more utensils to accommodate a big group. The water temperature in the master bathroom is hard to adjust. It’s either very hot or very cold. Overall, we had an amazing time at the valley view cabin and would recommend to others. Thank you for hosting us.
We loved the view from the deck. And the house was a great place for our extended family to spend a week (ages infant to 80s). Many amenities we enjoyed - the games in the basement, the hot tub, etc.
Be aware that although it's not a long walk from the village, its a very STEEP hill. It was too much for about half of our group, and we often drove to town.
On check-in day and while we were there, the property manager was very responsive. But in advance of our stay, he sometimes did not respond to questions.
The view was beautiful here!!!! The house was neat and tidy.
A few negatives:
1) the kitchen faucet was not attached at the base… made using it very difficult.
2) All the shower controls were also difficult to use….. there are definite plumbing problems with this house.
3) There were a minimal amount of towels for all to use… definitely could have used more.
4) the hot water at all sinks and showers was very hot!!!! Could have scalded ourselves if we were not careful.
5) stepping out of the showers was very slippery.. needed mats st each shower.
Overall it served us well as a family and we enjoyed a great Thanksgiving!!!
The spacious house and location were great for our family vacation! The master bedroom is huge and the master bathtub was amazing with a wonderful view of the lake. Generally, the water came out of the faucets extremely hot and hardly ever came out cold. Getting the water temperature right for a shower was very challenging. A very large dining table made eating together easy and enjoyable. It would have been nice to have window coverings for the window in the dining room though because the sun was in our eyes every morning for breakfast. Also, window coverings would have been good in the large multi-person, lower-level bedroom for privacy and to reduce some of the light from the early morning sunrises. It would be good to add some more forks as there were only 13 in the kitchen. The hot tub was great, but we could only use it until 10pm due to neighborhood regulations. Lots of fun family summer activities very close by. Overall, we were very pleased with the house and location.
This home is absolutely stunning to stay with a big family! My extended family and I had a great time here. The view is definitely what you book this home for. The balcony area is just breathtaking. The reviews are true, the furniture and appliances are a bit outdate but my family didnt mind this too much. The essentials are all there. If youre going to big bear for a luxurious cabin experience this is probably not it for you. But if you just want to relax and enjoy downtime with your loved ones, this place is it! Book it! I didnt have any problems with wifi, or accessing hot water like some of the other reviews mentioned. One thing Id like to point out if anyone is like my family who cooked entire meals out there, they have a BUNCH of cookware pots and pans. Full kitchen for sure. My family has agreed to try to come stay here at least once a year! Great place.

Good space, responsive owner, some work needed
The space was perfect for our family gathering - plenty of rooms and things to do at the house, and within walking distance of downtown. The house needed some attention as far as cleanliness and stocked items (towels, etc.), and repairs. We had to call the property owner about missing towels and repairs, and they were responsive and took care of some repairs while we were there. Hopefully they'll do a thorough once-over for maintenance and repairs and deep clean. The house does not have garbage pick-up, so guests are responsible for transporting trash and recycling to the waste center in town, which was something we weren't expecting.
Place had very nice view, close to downtown and great hiking. We saw lots of coyotes and a mama bear and Cubs. The place itself needed some repair. Kitchen sink was needing repair trickled water which they did replace after asking. Showers in two of bathrooms were needing replaced, just general maintenance low cost things needing replaced or fixed. Overall we still had good times.
