Perfect spot for a getaway

Easy to find. Staff very friendly :)

Carpet a little worn and bathroom ceiling in desperate need of repair but just cosmetics nothing that would affect your stay.

Short trip to Madison

Arrived Friday, left Monday. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Neighborhood was off the highway, recently developed, consisting of motels, auto dealers, restaurants condos and apartments. Very safe. Breakfast was very complete and good with eggs, meat, potatoes,cereal, waffles, bagels, muffins, coffee, juice. Beds were very comfortable. No complaints,would stay again.

Don't be fooled

This is actually a Staybridge Suites, not a real VRBO. I would have saved $$ by booking directly through Staybridge. Property itself is great though.

Overall good

Liked the stay, the reason I had to deduct stars was during the check-in process I was told I haven't paid any balance which was paid the previous month. Called the property number and the first lady said it's nothing to do with them, overall no help. Tried calling again and a man answered who was very helpful and solved the problem promptly.

Misleading title, this is a hotel

We were looking for a suite style room for our family. This is NOT a VRBO condo property. This is actually a hotel room at Staybridge Suites. This hotel was under major renovations at the time of us staying. The room itself was fine and as pictured but everything outside of the room was under construction. There was loud construction all day, paint fumes everywhere that entered our rooms and the pool and spa were closed, despite this VRBO advertising this in the title. I contacted the VRBO host who at first directed me to talk to the hotel receptionist and not them. I ended up talking to VRBO customer support who helped cover alternative accomodations due to the misleading representation it still overall switching locations was very inconvenient. If there was no construction and paint fumes and the pool was open, we wouldn't have complained but given that, we were glad we ended up talking to VRBO support. If you are looking for a suite in a hotel, then I would advise just booking straight through the hotel property.

Good value overall

Overall, our stay was positive. That is, after we finally completed check-in. We inquired about early check-in when we arrived in the morning and were told the place was short-staffed so it wasn't possible. No problem. Come check-in time (3pm), there was a line of 25 people in the lobby waiting to check-in. We were told by the person at the front desk that check-in could not begin until the manager came down from upstairs. Finally, the manager came down and questioned out loud why there were so many people waiting. It seemed like there was not adequate staff on hand -- or the staff was too new -- to handle otherwise seemed to be a smooth check-in process once it started. Other than that, the room was tidy, comfortable, and quiet. We were able to drive/Uber anywhere we needed to go and had no issues. I would definitely recommend others to stay here, but would suggest to management to make sure there is adequate staff to handle basic operations.

Location

I do not like that Vrbo is so evasive about property locations. I am a former resident of Madison and the listing had me expecting something a lot closer to the capitol than what this was. Luckily it was a very convenient location from family who live in the area and things worked out well in the end.

Great place to stay with family

It was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the pool, free breakfast and the overall relaxed vibe of the place. I just wish it were a bit closer to down town.
