3-min to Linville Falls. Beautiful home-3 BDRMs on 13 acres. Best breakfast.
Come and stay at this 4400 sq ft home on 13 private acres. Forests and gardens surround you with a view of Grandfather Mountain, only minutes from Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, and Parkway. See pics. We accept only one booking at a time, providing plenty of privacy whether 1 or 6 guests are in your party. (Please list all guests. Thank you) The house is cozy and artistic. There's a beautiful large flagstone patio with a pond and flowers. Over the last 3 years, we've renovated the house, spending $400,000 to make it a warm experience. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are available on the upstairs floor (one with a view of Grandfather Mountain). Enjoy the downstairs, large living room with fireplace, dining room, and additional bathroom exclusively for your use. My husband & I are located on the other side of the house in our private section downstairs, allowing the main house for your privacy. This is a B & B. In the morning, I become your private chef and provide a SUPER DELICIOUS organic breakfast w/ our own chicken eggs, veggies, chicken breakfast sausages/or, free-range bacon, bagels, berries, great coffee, etc. Weather permitting, I serve breakfast outside on the patio. We also have excellent Wi-Fi, and there is no issue with movie streaming. We have a TV with access to Netflix and a DVD player with DVDs. There is a small refrigerator for guests. We provide towels and sheets, shampoo, etc. In addition to the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, we have a Tao's sofa downstairs in the living room that opens up to 2 separate full-size single beds. There Is another private full-size bathroom off the living room. The stovetop and oven in the kitchen are available for limited use. You can heat pre-made meals or prepare something simple, such as pizza, sandwiches, tea, coffee, or snacks. Just 3 minutes from the house is Famous Louise's Restaurant, where they serve home-cooked lunch and dinner. I highly recommend the fish and chips! They are open from Wednesday to Sunday. Additionally, The Tin and Trout, located 11 minutes from the house, offers fresh trout delivered daily. They are open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 AM to 8 PM Banner Elk is 25 minutes away with many good restaurants.
***We have three well-behaved dogs on the property. They have access to our side of the house and the outside. Our crazy 5-year-old malamute, Koda, will offer the free service as a leashless tour guide. He'll take you for a forest walk around the property. Just say the magic word, 'walkies,' and off he goes. We also have free-ranging chickens. This unique home is in a wonderful estate, surrounded by gardens and forests, creating a peaceful destination. We aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Thanks for the wonderful review. I’m happy to hear it worked out well for you and your daughter. Cheers!!
A friend and I needed a weekend of quiet, respite, and rejuvenation, and that's just what we got! Sitting on top of a mountain, the house was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with lots of spaces to inhabit. Ditto the patio and grounds so each of us were able to enjoy much needed "me time" surrounded by dwarf iris, creeping phlox, pink azaleas, and flame azaleas, which drew dozens of butterflies! Towels, flannel sheets, and duvets were soft and high quality. As people who value sustainability, we were very pleased to see that personal care and cleaning products were without harsh chemicals. The breakfast was outstanding—croissants, cheese, maple yogurt, berries, and—best of all—fresh eggs from the "girls" who have their own spacious and comfortable world: three houses, shade trees, and their very own pond. : )Unfortunately we did not meet our hosts in person, but Tanya's communications were warm and timely, and provided the information we needed for the kind of stay that we wanted. We want to shout out a BIG THANKS to Tanya! We were delighted with every aspect of our stay!

Just a wonderful stay all around. Great location to then visit much of the NC Western Mountains. We did day excursions to Linville Falls, Boone, Banner Elk, Linville, Grandfather Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very inviting home with a lovely patio area. Wonderful breakfast each day with much more than we could eat. And extremely tasty to say the least. Great weekend.
Tanya was a super hostess along with her friendly dogs. The home was very neat and clean and enjoyable to stay in. Thanks for your incredible hospitality Tanya!
