It is certainly the place to be if your holiday is about visiting Alton Towers. It was a 5 minute walk to the entrance gates so location was excellent. The actual house could do with a bit of TLC- we found for our group of 7 adults, one toddler and two babies, the fridge space was very small and the door shelves were all broken. We stored a lot of things outside as it was October and a bit cooler. The communal area was a tight squeeze, with the small kitchen dining area and sitting room all in one space. The sofas were not comfortable and could do with an upgrade. There were broken floor tiles under a rug in the kitchen and the quilts and pillows had seen better days. But…our host provided two high chairs and cots for us, as requested. We were out most of the day so the lack of social space wasn’t a massive problem and there were 4 bathrooms, which was helpful when there is a big group.
