Really good place for us to stay especially with an accessible bathroom for me, and having our dogs staying as well.Quiet, but still close enough to town to pick up anymore supplies.

Really great place

The lodge is gorgeous, a wonderful, cosy place to stay. The home owner is great to deal with. Highly recommend and hope to be back.

Wayne was helpful and friendly, very prompt to respond to anything we needed. Excellent location, clean inside and outside, connectivity to different attractions, indoor and outdoor fireplace.. it was just perfect for us..!!Would definitely stay there again..!!

Wonderful stay!

This was such a great place to stay in Ohakune! So close to town, but tucked away enough to feel like a great escape. Great facilities and heaps of space for a large family to stay.We ate in the outdoor area every night which was very comfortable with the outdoor fire.Would highly recommend!

Amazing location, awesome lodge

Great stay at the Dreadnought Mill while attending Mardi Gras. Perfect location to walk to the event and the house was really warm and homey. Wayne was a great host and was welcoming upon arrival. Cheers

Very Cozy

The Lodge was really warm & cozy and in a quiet environment, perfect for when you just need a break away. Best part is that we could take our dog with to enjoy our break with us. Wayne was very polite and welcoming, will definitely add this to my list of places to re-visit.

Warm cosy Mountain Home

From the moment we walked in the fire was roaring and felt so cosy and warm, plenty of room for all of us (9 of us, with children ranging from 17-3) with lots of extra blankets and everything we needed. Will definitely book again.

Superb Mountain retreat

Cosy relaxing lodge, the roaring fire is just what we need to unwind from a day up the mountain and plenty of room to play cards or board games. The outdoor area is just superb with open fire, pizza oven and bbq. Plenty of room for our large family from adults, teenagers to young children. Will be back again next year.

Love the timber work!

Wayne was very welcoming and the lodge is unique with its impressive timber features. Although a little tired and unkempt it's a great place to stay for a group. One lovely bathroom and one very tired bathroom.

Lovely large rustic chalet

We stayed 2 nights in August. Excellent communication with owner. Great large living area with cost wood fire that was going when we arrived. Impressed with owner collecting our recycling rubbish, too. Well equipped kitchen. Electric blankets in all beds. Loud trains at night x2-4 but only lasted a few seconds. Definitely would recommend this place.
