It had everything you needed, even electric blankets on the beds which was a luxury, especially in winter months! Plus a very efficient log burner once you got it going.

Amazing place to stay! If you want to just get away and switch off, this is it. Close to the lake and to the town. A fire to keep you warm on those cold nights and days and a full kitchen to cook with. Getting in touch with the host is super easy and they are quick to reply, and they keep the property in tip top shape - always clean when we go. A typical kiwi mountain/ lake Bach with some stand out qualities. This was our second time here and I'm sure we'll be back again! Highly recommend!

A beautiful comfy stay with a great fire, perfect for our family. We spent 5 beautiful days at the lake, coming back to the house and cooking on the barbecue was so lovely.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Herb's Place was warm, tidy and comfortable and had the real "family kiwi bach" feel that is such a gem to find. Short stroll to the lake, bird song everywhere around you, coffee table perfect size to do a jigsaw at! What more could you want? We'll definitely be back.
