This is a classic old school bach. It's comfortable, though some things are a little run down. Most communication with the host was good, but we would have appreciated a heads up before the owner appeared unannounced an hour before check out. This felt a bit intrusive. It also would also be good to highlight more clearly in the info about the property that the water is not drinking quality - we only realised that on arrival.

Astelia Cottage is a great place to stay. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away.Easy walking distance to St Arnaud businesses and a 10 minute walk to the lake via an attractive bush walk.The cottage is surrounded by beech forest and the bell bird dawn chorus was amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay here.

Wonderful slice of paradise

Another wonderful stay at such a gorgeous little bach. You can feel the love and life in this place. It may not be fancy but it is everything we needed for a relaxing stay in such an incredible location.

Cosy little cottage near the lake

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful old cottage that is clearly loved. The kids made themselves at home and had a fantastic time exploring the house and surrounds too.
