Amyris was great - clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a cosy stay. We particularly enjoyed the sheltered table and chairs outside and the walk down to the lake.

The Amyris lodge is a wonderful, cozy getaway spot for couples with easy access to beautiful bushwalks and Lake Rotoiti. Strongly recommend!

Stayed at this gorgeous little batch before running an ultra marathon and found it to be amazing. The property manager and owner were both friendly and fantastic to deal with.

It might feel cozy on a particularly stormy day, especially if you come prepared with plenty of wine and firewood to enjoy the fireplace. The bed could use an update, and guests should be aware that you need to bring all of your own linens—including bath mats. There are also quite a few house rules and a fairly extensive “bring your own” list to consider, particularly given the nightly rate.Value for money, no!!!
