The house was lovely, with a lot of amenities and we really enjoyed it! There are games to play for rainy days and the view is amazing! We stayed right after Memorial Day weekend. The beach was full of trash. Some of the larger items were cleaned up as the week went on, but all of the smaller trash remained. We chose to drive down to Galveston to swim. Also, the water in the city of Freeport isn’t good. You’ll need to bring a lot of bottled water and be prepared to for your body and the dishes to smell like metal.

Clean and cute

This rental was great for our short weekend stay. The master bed was not comfortable and my husband and I have to sleep with the kids. We were glad for the space but our own space would have been nice. The extra beds were a plus. The water in this area is terrible so bring your own. There are also a few things the owner will need to fix. A few boards on the steps, a few areas of the boardwalk, steps down to the sand would have been great, and the lock box was impossible to open.terrible so bring your own.

The loose step and board on the boardwalk have since been re-secured by maintenance to ensure guest safety.- Being beachfront on an island, the tap water can sometimes taste salty, and guests are advised to bring drinking water, which is common for homes in the area.- To make things easier, a video guide for operating the lockbox will be added to avoid any future confusion.- The master bedroom features a Queen-sized adjustable mattress with customizable firmness and various pillow options to suit different preferences.Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

1. Online pictures were not a true reflection of the property specifically the toilet and boardwalk.2. There was no prior indication that the water supply was well water and was heavily infused with sulfur odor.3. Toilet seat had surface damages and bowl was stained.4. Overall odor of the house was musky.5. The walkway to the beach was overgrown with bushes. Contrary to online pictures. When property manager was notified she indicated that it was a GLO regulation preventing them from trimking the bushes even for the walkway as it was not elevated.

We understand this may be unexpected, and we aim to provide this information in advance so guests can plan accordingly.- Dune vegetation does change with the seasons, and while we’re able to trim growth along the boardwalk to maintain accessibility, environmental regulations prevent us from clearing vegetation on the dunes themselves, as they are protected areas.- We take your feedback about the musty odor seriously. Our team is currently inspecting for any possible leaks, and repairs will be made promptly if an issue is found.We appreciate you sharing your thoughts as we continue working to deliver the comfortable, 5-star stays we’re known for.

Pink Beach House Review

The pink beach house was fine for our stay. It is beach front and has a wonderful view. The AC worked well and we enjoyed having the washer and dryer. The house does not have drinkable water. The iron in the water has significantly stained the toilet, shower, and sinks and the water smells strongly of iron making it undesirable to use for showering, brushing your teeth or rinsing a dish. Also the mosquitos on the bottom deck were literally unbearable even with bug spray on. They didn’t bother us much on the top deck. The bridge to get to the beach is lower than most around and does touch the dunes underneath making it slightly uncomfortable for anyone with a fear of rattlesnakes or anything else in the dunes. This house will do if you are on a budget for your beach trip.
