My girlfriends and I get together for a short trip at least once per year, and this year's getaway will definitely be one of the more memorable trips due entirely to how special this property is and how well the hosts treated us.
We were a group of 5, and had plenty of space to both enjoy all together and also to have to ourselves when we wanted it. That was particularly important for sleeping, as we all have different needs to get the best night's sleep. There were also plenty of bathrooms so we were never waiting to take a shower or use the toilet.
Having spent many a trip in hotel-alternative-type accommodations, I will say that your hosts here take extra special care. I always received a reply to my messages within a minute or two, we were met at the property to be let in and for a quick tour, and the entire property was exceptionally well stocked. Every sink had soap and lotion, showers all had shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Plenty of towels, both in the bathrooms and for the spa/pool. Other toiletries (above and beyond what one would normally expect) clearly available but neatly tucked away in the bathrooms, and extra small fridges all throughout the property with several types of bottled water. The kitchen was fully stocked with not only all the dishes and cooking implements you would ever need, but also a small but helpful assortment of food and snacks, and a lovely welcome celebratory gift for us in the fridge of a fresh fruit tart and bottle of sparkling wine!
There are paths that wander all up and down the hillside, one beautiful view after another, with so many cute seating areas that we struggled to use them all (but we were determined to do our best). Swinging daybeds, hammocks, the spa and pool, the large lower deck and trampoline, the picnic table at the front of the house next to a burbling "creek" and the wide decks off the main house - there was always a place to suit our needs, no matter the time of day.
You're removed from the big city, but really just a short drive away should you need civilization. You'll hear the occasional plane and neighborhood sound (we had some brief construction and yard maintenance sounds drift our way but never at an inappropriate time), but mostly you'll hear and see wildlife (lots of birds during the day and crickets at night, plus some bees, lizards, frogs) and "farm" animals (roosters, chickens, geese, sheep?, goats).
We had such a wonderful time, and are hoping to return soon.
