The updated kitchen is stocked with every item you could ever need for preparing your meals. The living room features a cozy gas fireplace to stay warm by all year long. A second game room is located upstairs for another group or for the kids to gather in. Peace and quiet is available just out the back door with a wrap around deck, ample seating, and hot tub for all.

Downtown Tahoe City with an abundance of great restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, etc. Take a stroll down the river path (bike and stroller friendly) with miles of comfortable walking or biking alongside the Truckee River, and past Lake Tahoe. Commons beach in downtown Tahoe City has a large playground great for kids, grassy lawn, and beach area for relaxing and taking in the sights of the lake and surrounding mountains. Miles of easily accessible paved bike/hiking trails minutes from your front door. Up for some adventure, try the river rafting down the Truckee River. In the Winter months, the closest ski resorts include Granlibakken Resort, Homewood Mountain, Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar. Cross country skiing is close by and rentals are available at Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area. Please visit our website and follow our “Tahoe Guide” with updated things to do in your specific area.

Parking:
Parking is available for 4 cars at the home. 2 cars in the garage and 2 cars in the driveway. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Wonderful Getaway

Our adult children joined us for a 5 night getaway and it was perfect! We loved the comfortable, tasteful decor, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. The location is great - forested neighborhood close to the lake and Tahoe City. Plus the entire home was absolutely spotless. We plan to return!

Absolutely Wonderful Home Near Skiing

I rented this home for 6 days between Christmas and New Years for our family of 8 ranging in age from 71 (me) to 3 yrs old. The house was nice and warm when we arrived. Everything was in good working order and the kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub in 35 degree weather! We were 5 minutes away from Granlibakken for sledding. I would return here in a heart beat.

Walking distance to town. Clean, roomy and comfortable . Had some problems with a non working toilet and locked spa but a quick call to the cabin’s management company and the problem was solved…very fast response time was so appreciated..

Beautiful home. Well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion would be that upstairs bonus room bedroom had a strong dog smell and blankets were dirty. Also we wished there was a full size couch instead of just chairs and one loveseat. But overall we were pleased.

Wonderful property and location

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is exactly as described and the layout works well for multiple groups and/or families with kids. There is a private master on the ground floor which worked well for the grandparents and a bonus room off of the kid's room upstairs, complete with games, kids books, and toys. The location was beautiful for staying around the area and convenient for morning trips to the North Shore. We really appreciated the ease of check in/out, communication with the rental company, and the advice on nearby activities from the owners. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would love to come back!

Fantastic Tahoe Getaway

This is a really fantastic property. The home feels cozy and is in a perfect location . . . close to Tahoe City and Sunnyside. Peaceful neighborhood and the backyard is really great with the porch and hot tub. The inside has a real Tahoe feel to it and has everything you need. As the listing states, the house does not have A/C so with the smoke from the wildfires and high temps the house does get warm and you can’t filter the smoke. That’s the only downside. But the upsides to this home make it a really amazing rental.

The fourth bedroom was private and next to the TV room which was very handy for our daughter’s family with a new baby. The jacuzzi was so nice given the cooler weather. The location was great, in Tahoe City and walkable to the lakeshore. The neighborhood was beautiful. We look forward to returning in the spring or summer to do some of the many hiking trails in the area. Thanks for making our holiday such a wonderful one!

This house was beautiful inside with great amenities. The backyard patios, furniture, and hot tub were great. The lot itself was large and beautiful. What I did not like about the property is that some of the front deck rails had rotted and were broken, so the deck was closed off with mesh with signs advising us not to lean on the rails. My feeling is that this was a relatively simple, but costly repair. I had grandkids, so we could not use the front decks. I would not consider this place as being walkable to Tahoe City, unless you are in good shape. It’s about 1.5 miles to downtown. Fix the deck railings, and I have no complaints. Again, this is a beautiful home on a beautiful lot.

Would love to stay here again!

The backyard and deck areas are beautiful and a great place to watch birds and enjoy the view. The bear box was stuffed to the gills when we arrived so upon departure we had to remove the other people's trash and reorganize all the garbage to fit ours in as well. At first we weren't sure we could fit it and spent an hour researching trash facilities the night before departure. We couldn't find an open trash place so spent the time re-organizing all the dirty trash. Kind of a bummer but we made it work.

Quality Time with the Family

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our wedding weekend with our 2 year old, my sisters, and their families/kids. This property was wonderful! A very convenient location to downtown TC, Sunnyside and the best of the West Shore. The kids loved playing in the separate living area…which is really a kids wing of the house with living room, game closet and bedroom. We enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor space and cozy downstairs living room. The master bedroom is immediately inside the front door and adjacent to the garage which did make the temperature cooler than the rest of the house but it was not an issue for us. FYI they do not allow early check in requests. Highly recommend this property for quality family time!
