About this property

New "Little White Cabin" 2 single beds, Nice ensuite & shower. Pool & cabana.

You have your own new cabin. Not big, just 2 rooms, bedroom with 2 single beds and ensuite with neat 4 nozzle shower. Up a tree lined drive. Peacefull oasis close to all the Bay has to offer. 7 minutes to city centre, 19 minutes to the Mount and its beaches. No kitchen but 5 min walk to shops & supermarket. 1.8 km to Fernland hot pools. Free use of the superb summer pool & cabana. No T V but Free Wi-Fi . Park like grounds at the rear with free range chickens. Help yourself to the fruit trees. The white cabin has 2 single beds so good for workers. I clean the pool up for summer better the hot pools up the road in winter. See "Haleys cabin" if you prefer a Queen bed. Safe free parking in front of cabin or main house. No check in required, I'll send code for red key safe next to and for the left sliding door. check out 11 am. No extra fees. No kitchen but new microwave, air fryer, small fridge. electric kettle tea & coffee and radio. Insulated, Double glazed & insect screens. Children OK

The Little White Cabin was the perfect place to relax during my trip. The location is easy to find/convenient, very quiet, and it has plenty of amenities --- comfortable bed, efficient kitchenette, and clean shower with good water pressure. The pool and chickens are a bonus. :-)

The cabin was very small but had everything you need for a short stay, fridge, kettle, excellent shower, comfy beds. We chose it because of it's proximity to parkrun (about 8 minutes drive), but otherwise it's a long way to a nice restaurant/beach/bars etc. Shane, the owner was very welcoming and very friendly, he let us catch the late afternoon sun on his balcony as the rest of the property was in shade. We didn't use the pool.

The host was very welcoming when we arrived, the cabin was small but seemed fine for what we needed. However after we had settled in and went for a swim in the pool a warm shower was needed, we had followed the host’s instructions on how to use the shower but could not get any hot water. I had texted the host asking for advice and wondering if “If it was just me being dumb” as a jokey text however he responded first with a text message then second on Expedia saying “Re shower: yes its you…etc” his subsequent messages were also rude and hostile. The shower was then fixed by us having to swap over the gas canister at the back. Secondly after that, I noticed a foul smell in the bathroom. The toilet bowl was yellow with crust, the floor behind the toilet was covered in stains and the sealant around the shower was black with mould. It took me roughly 2 hours to clean to get the smell out, so we could be comfortable. The air fryer also did not work. Overall I understand that this is a budget place to stay however when you have people living on your own property you should have an obligation to keep it clean and comfortable.
