Had a great time staying at Donna and Bob’s in Yarmouth. Went for 4 nights with a friend and had plenty of room for the two of us. Great location - close to Hyannis and a short drive to Dennis or Chatham. Donna and Bob were available if needed but it felt like we had our own space in the cottage. Would highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to come back!
The cottage is a clean, well kept property with a lovely view of a creek from the patio. Quiet is the key word here, no elevators, no hallway of noisy people, no neighbors except the owners in the house next door (but you almost can’t see them). Donna and Bob provide everything needed to be comfortable and relaxed. Even the bed is comfy and cozy. Down the road are restaurants, seafood market, mini golf, groceries, all less than a five minute drive. Cruise to Nantucket for the day is highly recommended. Definitely coming back here!
This was a very cozy spot to sit out the tail end of hurricane Zeta. We loved watching the birds in the marsh while drinking hot chocolate. We even had a resident bald eagle! Donna and Bob were very helpful with suggestions for places to go while also giving us our privacy.
This property is very cozy and quaint. It has a nice deck with a fire pit overlooking Mill Creek. Great central location on the Cape right off Route 28. I would definitely stay here again. Owners were the BEST!!!
We loved the cottage. Gorgeous views, private, very clean and really had everything we needed. Very well equipped, great eclectic décor. A welcome bottle of prosecco. We used the firepit on the cool evenings and the fireplace too.
Thank you Donna and Bob
We are hoping to come back again soon.
Birds, boaters, Sunsets, airplanes and fire pit. There was always something interesting to watch from the lawn, porch and windows. We loved borrowing the kayak three days in a row and paddling out to Lewis Bay. We loved that we could walk to a lot of retail. The place feels very secluded visually. Keep in mind it does abut a hotel pool and airport flight path is over the marsh. The sounds from the pool were fine with us, in fact welcome signs of life and fun during the pandemic. And we enjoyed watching the wide variety of crafts taking off and landing from the airport.
Our host was very accommodating. We will definitely return.
Donna and Bob are wonderful hosts. We had a fantastic stay at the cottage and fully enjoyed our days on the Cape. The location on the marsh is bucolic. We are bird lovers and so enjoyed the herons, egrets and osprey that regularly visit the marsh. Bring your binoculars! There is plenty to do in Yarmouth and Hyannis with its great beaches and good restaurants. Donna will give you good site-seeing advice if you need it. Thank you Donna and Bob!
The cottage is exactly what I was looking for in a solo vacation to the Cape. The kitchen is small but more than enough room to cook and prepare meals throughout the day. The bedroom is a nice size as well and separate from the living space. The views can not be beat. To have such stunning nature right outside your door is priceless. Donna and Bob's home is closer than I was expecting but the way they have it set up the cottage still feels very private. There also are local hotels much closer to the property than I anticipated but once I became accustomed to the sounds at night it was fine.
Donna went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and responded quickly (and with an incredible wealth of knowledge about the area) to every question I had about where to bike, kayak or grab a vegetarian meal in the area. Warm and welcoming would be my summary of this space from the people to the cottage space to the nature that surrounds it all. I will definitely be returning.
We had a nice stay here. We wanted to take day trips throughout the Cape and the Islands so this location was key. Just as advertised, small place with beautiful views.
What a great spot! The cottage was just the right size for me for a short stay. A perfect place for one adult or a couple. Donna was a wonderful hostess even though I didn’t need anything once settled in. Thoroughly enjoyed looking out on the marsh and enjoyed the chirping Osprey on the deck. The cottage was clean and very functional. One if the most comfortable beds and the kitchenette was perfect for my needs.
This property was remote with beautiful views. It’s conveniently located around fantastic beaches and restaurants. Very high chance we’re going back next summer!!
We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax and get away from this strange summer of cancelled vacation plans and the Cottage on the Salt Marsh was PERFECT! We loved the quiet and the magnificent setting. Loved watching the Osprey, herons and seagulls from the deck. The cottage was spotless and well stocked with whatever we needed. Donna and Bob were the perfect hosts.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very relaxing and quiet spot. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife in the marsh area. It was also a great spot for sunsets. The cottage was just the right size for the two of us. Donna and Bob were excellent hosts and were prompt in responding to us.
Donna & Bob made this so special for us. I had mentioned we were coming to Cape Cod to celebrate our 1yr Anniversary, and when we arrived, Donna had a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate with and a welcome note! She left some fancy cheese & crackers and it was perfect to sit on the patio in the evening with a glass and some cheese/crackers & watch the sunset!
Also, before we arrived she gave us great recommendations on several places to eat and beaches to visit! We are the first night at some place we picked, not my fave, but took all of her recs the rest of our 3 days there and they were spot on!
Thank you for making this such a nice getaway for us Donna & Bob! We really needed it and you made it easy!
There’s nothing like the Cape!

This is a lovely cottage for two in a very private setting. From a partially shaded porch you watch the ospreys, song sparrows, and egrets flying over the marsh through the owner-provided binoculars. Bugs and mosquitoes are minimal. Seagull beach is a 5 minute car ride away and the owner provides beach chairs and a beach umbrella. There are full amenities for simple cooking. A/C, WiFi, and cable are there. We were thoroughly happy with our stay.
