We did want to clarify one item for future guests. Your message regarding the bathroom was received at 5:17 PM on September 4, and our team responded at 6:25 PM that same evening, apologizing and advising that we would have the cleaners address the area. When you later mentioned that you had not received a response, we were able to send a screenshot showing the reply in the same text thread. We’re sorry it apparently did not display on your end and also appreciate you bringing the area to our attention. As noted in our rental information, we provide starter supplies of essentials such as toilet paper and trash bags, but guests should plan to purchase additional supplies as needed during their stay. We’re glad you enjoyed the outstanding location, resort amenities and spacious home. We do want to provide important context regarding the concerns described here. Once these issues were reported to us, we immediately offered to send both our cleaning team and maintenance to the home. The guest declined our offer to have the cleaners return but requested maintenance, which we promptly sent. Our technician addressed the TV, bedroom light and doors and also inspected the garbage disposal and grill, both of which were found to be operating properly. We take cleaning concerns seriously and would have gladly had the cleaning team return to address anything that may have been missed. Unfortunately, when that service is declined, we are not given the opportunity to correct those concerns during the stay. We also reviewed the guest’s request for compensation and provided a goodwill refund as a courtesy. While we understand the disappointment expressed here, we feel it is important for future guests to know that our team responded promptly, offered solutions, completed the requested maintenance and provided a courtesy refund despite our offer to return the cleaning team being declined.
