About this property

Luxury Cabin with Pasture Views & Private Hot Tub

Welcome to a refined countryside escape where rustic charm meets elevated comfort at The Retreat at High Rock. This thoughtfully positioned cabin overlooks a picturesque horse farm and sits on 14 private acres, offering sweeping pasture views, wooded privacy, and a peaceful atmosphere designed for true relaxation.

From the moment you arrive, the setting invites you to slow down. Rolling fields stretch across the landscape, with horses grazing quietly below and forested hills framing the horizon. Mornings begin on the large deck, coffee in hand, as soft light moves across the pasture and the sounds of nature set an unhurried rhythm for the day.

Outdoor living is central to the experience. The private hot tub offers a perfect place to unwind after a hike or a day of exploring—ideal for soaking while enjoying open views by day and star-filled skies by night. Evenings are best spent around the fire pit, where flickering flames, cool night air, and quiet conversation create a relaxed, intimate ambiance. A grill is available for effortless outdoor meals, whether you’re preparing a casual lunch or a sunset dinner enjoyed slowly on the deck.

The property itself encourages exploration and connection with nature. Guests have access to private hiking trails that wind through all 14 acres, offering a mix of wooded paths, open clearings, and gentle terrain. These trails are perfect for morning walks, leisurely hikes, or quiet moments alone in nature. Wildlife sightings are common, and the sense of space and privacy makes every walk feel personal and unspoiled.

Inside, the cabin balances comfort with character. Natural light fills the space through well-placed windows, allowing you to enjoy the views even while indoors. The interior is warm and inviting, designed for relaxation after a day outside—whether you’re reading, sharing a meal, or simply enjoying the stillness. Climate control ensures comfort in every season, making the cabin an ideal retreat year-round.

As night falls, the experience becomes especially memorable. With minimal light pollution and expansive open skies, stargazing here is exceptional. Step out onto the deck or gather by the fire pit to take in constellations, planets, and shooting stars—an experience that feels both grounding and quietly luxurious.

Communication was excellent, place was as advertised, though for the price I expected much more in terms of flexibility and feeling like I got my moneys worth. I was paying over 200 a night and the outdoor furniture was real dirty leaves everywhere and wet. The hot tub worked great. The indoor air conditioning and heating system was confusing. We had needed some flexibility with coming early, and I offered to pay extra, there was one cleaning lady for the whole place and while I understand situations like that, I waited till a few minutes after check in and the place smelled like cigarettes. I have asthma and this was not a great start. After that it went pretty well, though internet was spotty and I needed to do some school work. Again it was a good spot but the price didn't match the experience.

What makes this property unique

"Cabins, Coffee, wine and a Whole Lot of Quiet"

We didn’t plan to build a bunch of cabins. We just wanted a place to sip coffee in pajamas and hear ourselves think. Then we found this 14-acre slice of magic — hills that roll, skies that blush at sunset, and a breeze that seems to say “stay a while.”

One cabin turned into two. Then three. Each one got its own personality — a view here, a hammock there, a porch just begging for late-night stories. We didn’t cram them in. We let the land decide. Trees stayed. Birds stayed. Peace stayed.

Now it’s a place where couples escape, writers un-stick their minds, and even the Wi-Fi takes a break (on purpose). No traffic, no to-do lists — just trails, stars, and the occasional deer who thinks he owns the place.

It’s not just a stay. It’s a soft reset — with better coffee & wine.
