↟ Wake up slow in your own private forest retreat. Nestled on 200 private acres near Algonquin Park and Round Lake, Vista Cabin East is one of Ontario’s most secluded luxury cabin stays, where birdsong replaces alarms and your only agenda is to relax.
↟ Thoughtfully designed for couples, solo travellers, and anyone craving a slower pace, Vista Cabin East invites you to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most, surrounded by nature.
THE VISTA PHILOSOPHY
↟ Vista began with a simple belief: the best memories are made through presence.
Slow mornings. Face-to-face conversations. Mesmerizing campfires. Unhurried time together in nature, with no one else around.
In a world that moves faster every year, we created a place that invites you to move a little slower. A place where luxury isn’t measured by excess, but by space, silence, and the freedom to simply be.
Whether you’re celebrating something special, escaping the city, or simply taking time to breathe, this is a place where silence becomes a luxury and nature sets the pace. You’re sure to feel rested, grounded and inspired by the quiet beauty of the Ottawa Valley.
INSIDE YOUR CABIN
↟ Simple, intentional, and inspired by the surrounding forest, every detail of Vista Cabin East was designed to help you slow down.
This Ottawa Valley cabin invites you to:
• Drift off to sleep in a cozy queen loft bed dressed in premium cotton sheets and a luxurious linen duvet. • Wake slowly with birdsong and morning light filtering through the trees. • Sip locally roasted coffee while overlooking your private forest. • Cook simple, memorable meals on the wood-fired cookstove. • Unwind in your private wood-fired cedar sauna. • Rinse off beneath a seasonal outdoor hot shower surrounded by nature. • Gather around the campfire beneath a sky full of stars. • Explore 200 acres of private forest trails at your own pace. • Disconnect from screens and reconnect with yourself, each other, and the natural world.
YOUR PRIVATE NATURE SPA
↟ One of the most loved parts of staying at Vista is your own private outdoor wellness experience.
Enjoy exclusive access to:
• Traditional wood-fired cedar sauna • Seasonal outdoor hot-water shower • Private fire pit with Adirondack chairs • Spacious deck for slow mornings and evening sunsets
There is something deeply restorative about heating the sauna, stepping into the cool forest air, and ending the evening beneath a sky full of stars.

EXPLORE 200 PRIVATE FOREST ACRES
↟ Vista offers something that’s becoming increasingly rare…complete privacy.
Explore forest trails, discover historic stone fences built by early settlers, watch for deer, wild turkeys, and songbirds, or simply relax and listen to the wind moving through the trees.
Without overhead power lines or nearby neighbours, the night skies remain remarkably dark, making stargazing one of the highlights of every stay.
Whether you visit in the vibrant greens of summer, the colours of autumn, the stillness of winter, or the renewal of spring, every season offers its own kind of beauty.

A great off grid getaway.Very secluded private setting in nature. Beautiful setup. Outdoor shower was a highlight with the view of the trees and the sky. BBQ worked great. Host was very attentive to ensure battery remained charged and there was enough water for the stay.Eggs delivered by the host ALL had the most brightest orange yolks. A nice contrast from store bought.Located within short drive to explore the area's natural beauty and local amenities.

Thank you for coming to our hideaway and for teaching us a few lessons that are sure to help us be the best hosts we can possibly be. Thank you for following the cabin rules, for coming with an open mind and for immersing yourselves into this experience off-the-grid. You are always welcome here again!
We loved our time at the cabin. Very restful and still, with great cosyness. The facilities were excellent..good sauna, comfy bed, all the cooking utensils and outside stove and barbecue. We were greeted by fresh towels, robes, lit fire and warming teapot. The attention to detail was obvious. Sam and Amanda were very helpful and attentive to our needs. The woids and trails really gave us that feeling of deeper connection t the wilds of this part of Canada. We came away relaxed and ready for the outside world! Thankyou
Property was beautiful, exactly what we needed.Hosts were friendly and accommodating.Wish we could have stayed longer, very peaceful.

About the host
Hosted by Amanda Olsheskie
I’m from the Ottawa Valley and grew up on this land. It’s a place that’s always grounded me and shaped how I see the world.
I enjoy being outdoors, working with the land and creating spaces where people can slow down and feel at ease. Hosting feels like a natural way to share that — offering others the chance to reconnect with nature, with themselves and with something simpler.
Why they chose this property
I chose this area because it’s home. I grew up here, and this land has been part of my family for generations — originally settled by my Polish ancestors who immigrated from Poland in the 1800s.
This space continues a vision that has been passed down through generations. Today, it’s something I’m proud to share with guests in a way that honours both the land and the experience it offers.
The Ottawa Valley holds a unique kind of beauty — quiet forests, nearby lakes and a slower pace of life. Here, you can truly disconnect from the noise of the city while still being close to small communities like Killaloe, Wilno and Barry’s Bay.
It’s a place rooted in history, nature, and connection — and one that tends to stay with people long after they leave.
What makes this property unique
Vista Cabin East is a private, off-grid retreat set on 200 acres in Ontario’s Ottawa Valley, offering a rare combination of seclusion, simplicity and connection to nature. Unlike typical cabin stays, this space is intentionally designed to help guests slow down, unplug and experience a quieter rhythm guided by the land.
Rooted in our Polish and Métis heritage, the property reflects a deeper connection to place, with subtle touches that invite reflection, stillness and appreciation for the natural world. Guests have access to expansive forest trails, peaceful nooks and seasonal experiences — from warm, fire-lit winters to light, breezy summer days.
With its small, thoughtfully designed footprint, off-grid amenities and emphasis on simplicity and comfort, Cabin East offers a unique opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with what matters.
