Our gorgeous bohemian, colourfully painted home sits close to the tropical sandy beaches in Playa Chiquita near Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Surrounded by jungle, where the monkeys, sloths, agoutis and many tropical birds like to visit.
The home has four spacious bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen for family meals and large warm living room.
The location is perfect and within walking distance to a local grocery store and small independent cafes and restaurants.
Over eight beaches line this Caribbean coast, from the calm playa Chiquita to black sand beaches. There are multiple opportunities for snorkelling, surfing or relaxing.
The house has fibre optic wifi and a desk positioned to face the jungle, should you need to work.

Amazing Stay!!

This stay was truly amazing! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The place was super clean and came fully equipped—pots, utensils, everything we needed to cook meals with no hassle. The bathrooms? Beautiful and spotless!One major shoutout to the host—I accidentally left my passport and wallet behind, and within the hour they confirmed they found it and mailed it to me. I had it back just two days later! That kind of trust and quick response says a lot.You can feel totally safe leaving your belongings out—nothing went missing. My friends and I had such a fun time. The space was comfortable, cool (yes, it has fans!), and honestly just a great vibe all around. Would 100% stay here again!

Worst VRBO experience ever! Never received directions, only a photo of the front gate to find the home in the dark. Keys were for every room, that were not marked, so you had to find the right key for locking each room. Open Living Room that was not clean from the jungle, kitchen was not clean, so we had to eat out every night. Bathrooms do not have screens, and we had a scorpion in the bathroom. One Bathroom was not marked for not locking and when it was locked there was no key, had to ask Host to get some help to go in through the window to unlock door, so we could get to our things in the bathroom. I let the Host know we were leaving early the following day, which we had paid for an additional night, when we returned home, she would not give us a refund. for that night. I returned home to the states with giardia from the water situation, there are cisterns throughout the neighborhood! Not recommended!

Hi Darla. I just reviewed all of the contact we have had and have seen that when I sent the picture of the gate directions on Google maps were included at the same time. The house was advertised as open to the jungle and was cleaned thoroughly the day of arrival and you have not shared pictures of it being unclean. You are the first person to complain. The bathrooms do not have screens as it’s an open jungle house. When you said you had lost the key to the bathroom I responded writhing 27 minuets and had someone response to let you in. Scorpions are a part of being in the jungle and I can not control the bugs. You didn’t let me know you were leaving early or share any of these complaints. The water is from a well. The cisterns in the area are rain water gathering tanks and we do not use the one at the house. Fresh water was provided in the kitchen. I suggest you do not stay in the jungle if you are unable to handle the bugs, the jungle elements and water systems that are available in a developing country. As a developing country you can expect all that comes with not being in a western country.

This home is close to long winding sandy beaches with almonds and palms creating beautiful beach shade. There’s lots local restaurants nearby. This location is incredible.

What makes this property unique

The charming bohemian style house and attention to detail makes this place special. It’s tucked away in a jungle garden with tons of wildlife. You’ll see more wildlife from your living room here than in most places you’ll find.
