Our stay here was wonderful. Very easy booking and check-in and the place was very clean. This property had everything we needed and the close proximity to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor were ideal for our plans. The host was very communicative throughout our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to explore this area and would look to book again if I end up back this way.

We loved our stay here! The property is perfectly quaint. A great size for a small family, and is a good landing spot after running around Maine all day. We loved coming home each day and playing board games. The only improvements we saw would be a larger TV, and there is a big issue with dog smell. While we understand dog odor is to be expected in a dog friendly VRBO, it was clear there were several areas dogs had repetitively peed on that had not been properly cleaned. We had to take the door mat outside to help with the odor. Also, the green couch bed smelled so horribly of dog urine it wouldve been impossible to use for sleeping if we had more guests, and we could not sit on it during our stay. I ended up using a room spray daily to make it more tolerable. Overall I WOULD book this VRBO again, but would advise the odor issue be fixed asap!

The house was awesome! Super cute and just like the pictures. There were lots of towels and places to hang them, plus there were great charging centers. The road going to the property is pretty bad and bumpy, but this is an FYI to prepare you rather than a negative against the property. One note, our GPS had us turn into the property just before the actual house, and it's a complete mess. Our entire party of 4 was briefly shell shocked until we backed out of the driveway, went a little further down the road, and actually saw the address on the mailbox!

We're so glad the house lived up to the pictures and that the towels and charging stations came in handy! It's great to hear everything felt just as cute in person as online. It is a pleasant surprise to find that the retreat is, indeed, tucked away at the end of the end of the road with lots of privacy.

Acadia retreat

This cozy cottage nestled in the woods was just the right place to relax and recover after a day of hiking in Acadia. The place was immaculate, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen accommodated us for getting our breakfast and lunch. The drive into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park was easy and direct and a nice getaway from the traffic and tourists in town. All in all, this cottage was part of what made our vacation at Bar Harbor / Acadia very enjoyable.

The house was in a good quiet location for visiting Acadia. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked! The property surrounding the house parking area was rundown with old pitiful buildings that should not be entered! The manager was awesome and responded promptly to a fuse box complications that accured!

The property was small but everything necessary for a convenient stay was there. The house rules were reasonable and not overwhelming. Did not have any issue during the stay for which we would have had to contact the property manager.
