About this property

Bunkers Cove Cottage

Enjoy endless views from your own private paradise. Make unforgettable memories in this beautiful cottage that has been lovingly maintained by island locals for over 30 years.

This two bedroom, one bath home features a picturesque sunroom flooded with natural light. Watch the deer, lobster boats, lightning bugs, and million-dollar sunsets from the large porch off the rear of the property or take a quick stroll down the boardwalk to the cove.

NOTE: Island only accessible via boat or ferry!

The space
The home is perfectly situated a short stroll away from Bunkers Cove on the beautiful and remote island of Islesford, Maine (also known as Little Cranberry Island).

While Islesford is remote, it doesn't lack activity with an amazing dock restaurant, artist's gallery, museum, and yacht club to name a few. Or spend your time walking along the shores taking in the views while you collect shells, stones, and seaglass.

You can also take the island's ferry to the other Cranberry Isles or head to the mainland and explore Acadia National Park.

The main bedroom of the home features a Queen sized bed while the second bedroom has two twins. The light and bright sunroom also features a small futon perfect for one adult or a child.

The bathroom of the home has been updated to feature a walk-in enclosed shower. The charming kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need to prepare any meal.

There is a cozy small loft shed located behind the main home with a washer and dryer and small reading nook.

While Islesford is a remote quaint island, it doesn't lack accessibility with two ferry services offering daily service between our island and Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Manset, and Great Cranberry Island.

Check out the schedules at Beal and Bunker Ferry or
Down East Wind Jammer

Private water taxis are also an option, just ask us for recommendations !

This is a beautiful property and such a fun and interesting experience as well. The host was great and got back to me instantly whenever I reached out. I only wished it was clear in the description that it is not heated, but offers space heaters ans a nice fireplace instead. We arrived too late to start a fire and didn't know the heaters were available, or where to find them, so the first night was quite chilly. It was all part of the adventure of staying in a remote location like this though and we made many fun lifelong memories while here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the same experience!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage and on Isleford. It was a dream trip full of beach adventures, cozy cottage breakfast, lobster, and many memories made. The hosts were excellent communicators and we hope to be back next year!
