Keweenaw Hideaway Cabin on Rice Lake, very near Lake Superior with RV options

The secluded location conceals a modern, well furnished abode with all the charm of a rustic storybook cabin. It's literally a little house in the big woods, with a generous kitchen/dining/living room space. There's a roomy bathroom with a shower, laundry and storage, and two bedrooms, one large with a queen and a twinbed as well as one one small bedroom with bunk beds.This is a lovely place where guests wake up to all that nature has to offer.

Two porches make it easy to get your porch time as often as you like. The screened porch overlooks the nearby fire pit and the other faces the woods.

Fifty (50) acres of woodland is just outside your door, very accessible for seasonal hunting deer, bear, turkeys, and upland game. Bring your quad if you like and go exploring, set up your blind, and enjoy.

Electric hook-ups are available for up to three self-contained RV's. Access to Rice lake is available nearby.

Jim's cabin was very comfortable and nestled in the woods. very clean and all the amenities we needed. We had a great time exploring the upper area of Kewanaw peninsula. Lots of waterfalls and great rock hounding. Beautiful area.

This place is beautiful

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Owner was very responsive and kind with great local tips. Very clean and new, private location with no neighbors. Best part being in copper country there's adventure in every direction.

Great Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was secluded and quiet; a great way to disconnect and rest (limited cell service on the peninsula and no wifi helped us slow down a bit). The cabin was a little difficult to find, but the owner provided great directions ahead of time that GPS didn't cover. All in all, it was a great time away.

Great Getaway!!

Jimmy was very friendly and communicated great with us and gave some great ideas to check out in copper harbor and baked us some awesome bread .Beautiful simple cabin just what we needed for a few days. Sorry we had to leave. Thanks again! Keith & Lilia

Come for the cabin, stay for the peace and quiet

This is more than I could have ever expected. Clean, peaceful, bottom line perfect. They know how to make you feel connect to Mother Nature. Our first time there, definitely not our last time there. This will be a yearly trip for my wife and I. Great job and see you again! ✌❤️

Perfect Hideway / Getaway

The property was everything we wished for, secluded, quiet, flora and fauna right off the front porch. The property owner was more than gracious, making sure we could find this remote spot as well as where to buy groceries etc. We had a few day trips exploring the quaint little towns along Lake Superior's shores. The UP was exactly like I remember it from childhood.

Adventure Bike getaway

Beautiful time of year, with colors just popping, turkeys everywhere and water was still warm enough for daily swims. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed to rest our weary heads and was tucked away in a wonderful wooded area within easy reach of town and beach and trails. We traveled all over the peninsula on our Himalayan motorcycles, even to High Rock on the northern end after a rainy night! Lovely winding roads and plenty of off-roading...can't miss the Covered Road if you vist. Jimmy was very attentive (great bread!) and would rent from him again for sure!! Wish we could have stayed more then 5 nights.

Offline and Wonderfully Quiet!

I needed to "get away" and "off the grid" and this was the perfect place to do it! A wonderful little cabin in the middle of the woods at the end of a dead-end street not far from Lake Superior. It was so quiet--I made art on the screened-in front porch for a whole week. Nicely appointed kitchen, comfortable bedroom and *completely* off the grid (no WiFi, no cell coverage, no Internet, no monitors, nothing....and I loved it).

Charming, roomy, cabin in the woods

The property was very clean in a beautiful forest location with walking trails in a couple directions. Very quiet neighborhood. Lots of outdoor activities close by. Spent most of our time outside on the spacious front porch. Would have appreciated different mattress cover and sheets that did not shift while sleeping. If they replaced the mattress covers and put sheets on the double bed that fit, I would have rated this 5 stars. But there is nothing like a good night sleep.

Relaxing Getaway

We truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin in the woods. It was very clean, secluded and lovely. Jimmy was a great host! I would recommend it to anyone that likes to get away and enjoy the outdoors. We relaxed by the fire pit in the evenings, watched deer come in on many occasions and there are also lots of places to enjoy day trips to Lake Superior and the surrounding area. This cabin is truly a 5 out of 5!!!

Was a great cabin to stay in. The owner was always available and was able to answer any questions.

Great property with a bunch of forest for privacy. Has a grill and a campfire if you are into that stuff. Also has a kayaks to take out to the lake. Would definitely rent again.

This property is just what we wanted. Secluded, refreshing and homey. We will definitely return. We saw deer, ate blueberries, had fire and once we figured it out has just enough cell service to get a few messages out. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your cabin

Secluded UP cabin

Very clean well kept place. Quiet and tucked back in the pine forest and a few minutes from Lake Superior beaches. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Quiet, Serene Get-Away

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful cabin for our anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The owner, Jimmy was fabulous throughout our whole stay. Not only is the cabin itself amazing, the owner made the check in/out process smooth and easy. His communication was great. Jimmy was very friendly, suggesting to us attractions in the area as well as good places to eat. He really made us feel welcome and right at home. The beds are comfy and the cabin is very clean. We will be back, we LOVE the UP!

Great Cabin
