One bedroom cabin with a newly remodel bathroom and porch. Our cabin overlooks 16 Mile Lake in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest. We are only 11 miles from the beautiful Picture Rock National Lakeshore in Munising Michigan. Thirteen miles from Au Train, a great place to canoe or kayak. Close to beaches in both Munising and Au Train. It's a nature lovers paradise!

We love this place. So cute and well kept. Beautiful patio and fire pit to enjoy the evenings. Shooting stars were a bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything about the cabin was great--the view, the cleanliness, the new outdoor platform and fire pit . Communication with Lisa was easy and immediate. 16-Mile Lake is great for paddling and swimming and the cabin supplies a canoe and kayaks. We'll be back next year!

We had a very nice stay. We rode our ATV’s on the extensive network of nearby trails. The cottage has a beautiful view of the lake. It had everything we needed. The interior is neat, clean and very comfortable. The hosts are very attentive, friendly and responsive. They were helpful with recommendations for local places to visit and places to dine. If you’re considering booking this property don’t hesitate! You won’t be disappointed!!

Perfect Setting

This was the perfect place to stay to explore Marquette and Pictured Rocks. The sunsets over 16-mile lake were amazing and the cottage was so comfortable.

Wonderful wonderful cabin on 16 Mile Lake

We felt immediately at home upon entering this homey cabin on a quiet lake in the heart of Hiawatha Nation Forest. My wife and I loved our 4 day stay and plan to return next Spring!

Perfect anniversary trip

We enjoyed the beautiful lake and cabin. It was a perfect stay for resting after exploring the area. Thank you for the recommendations to the buckhorn resort made a great quick dinner. Thank you for a wonderful vacation in the UP!

My husband and I also live on the lake and enjoy the beauty this peaceful area has to offer. I was born and raised in Au Train Michigan and grew up on Northwoods Resort, so have a rental came naturally to me. My husband and I met here on 16 Mile Lake as his parents own a home here as well. We enjoy the outdoors and all that the upper peninsula has to offer. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
