Nestled in the tall pines, the Laughing Moose Lodge is the premier large-group house at Crystal Mountain. 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 3000 sqft provide updated accommodations for a large group (up to 20) or multiple families with separate, comfortable gathering spaces for relaxing, playing, reading, or socializing with enough privacy for everyone. Enjoy the surroundings in an attractive, warm and comfortable Northern Michigan retreat motif. Natural tones, unique textures, and themed bedrooms make this a memorable place to enjoy time away from home at a great location. Perfect for a larger multi-family group, or a smaller group to enjoy great spaces that cannot be found at other accommodations at the resort. Completely equipped from the spacious kitchen to the laundry room, with high speed internet and central Air Conditioning to ensure everyone’s comfort.

The Laughing Moose Lodge is a great base for Northern Michigan fun in every season. The outstanding Crystal Mountain Resort is at the doorstep, including a water park, alpine slide, bike and hiking trails, a world-class art park, 2 full service restaurants, climbing wall, skiing, snowshoeing, and more.

Nearby are the huge Lake Michigan sand beaches, charming Elberta and Frankfort, the elegant natural spaces at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, canoe/kayaking on the Betsie, Platte, and Crystal rivers, scenic M22 through Empire, Glen Arbor and Leelanau wine country, Traverse City festivals, and on and on.

Spaciously furnished with natural and luxurious furnishings, and meticulously maintained - many experienced guests say that the Laughing Moose Lodge is the nicest place to stay at the entire resort!

This property has been rented through VRBO for years with 5 star ratings. Ownership changed hands August 2020 with same services, cleaning, maintenance, furniture, etc. Still the Laughing Moose experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Laughing Moose Lodge! Plenty of beds and space for our extended family staying for a long ski weekend. We love the convenience of the shuttle to take us to the ski hill and we could walk down to the resort market and restaurants. Overall great stay and we will come again!

2025 Golf Trip

This is our second stay here for our group of 12 guys. We love the house. There are plenty of beds, great location, no issues at all. The communication with the property owner was great as well. We would absolutely stay here again!

The property is very well laid out for a large group! We had a group of 8 and the property could easily hold double that with room to spare. Very well stocked with all the essentials, super clean and very close to skiing at crystal. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Great time at the Laughing Moose Lodge!

The Laughing Moose Lodge hosted our large family of 18 for a post-Christmas ski trip. Not many rentals can accommodate such a large group but we were comfortable and enjoyed every minute and hope to visit again!
