- LAKES: MIRROR LAKE at the bottom of the Haystack Mountain is a nice and small lake to enjoy for swimming. It’s a private lake so please keep off the indoor areas but you can enjoy the lake otherwise. Walk down the driveway and keep right in Fannie Hill Road to the gatehouse for the Hermitage Club. HARRIMAN RESERVOIR: A much larger lake, it offers multiple picnic and beach areas, boating, kayaking. https://www.highcountrymarine.com/ offers boat rentals. -TENNIS: Stratton Tennis Club - 25min
-FLYFISHING: vermontflyfishers (.com) has multiple locations in the area for flyfishing, locations and types of fish change depending on weather and season.
-MOUNT SNOW. We recommend buying passes ahead of time and going up from Carinthia at Mount Snow, instead of the Main Face which gets very crowded. Mount Snow also has a lot of events off season, especially in the Fall.
RESTAURANTS, West Dover: - HERMITAGE INN: The Inn has new owners as of 2021 and they spared no expense for the renovations and landscaping. It’s a beautiful place to check out whether for just a drink, lunch or dinner. Owner was super nice, it was our first time in Mount Snow, we didn't know the area well so we appreciated the recommendations. The house is super clean and organized.
This house is amazing! There was more than enough room for our family and 2 dogs. We had everything we needed to prepare a big Thanksgiving meal. The house was spotless and we really enjoyed the wood stove during our snowy Thanksgiving. We would definitely stay here again!
We were one of the first lucky families to stay in this gorgeous place. The decoration is unique and very high end. Everything is well thought out around the house. Carintia at Mount Snow is only a 5-10 min drive. We'll be back for sure.

The house is in a private ski area setting, great for walks, hikes and views . the home was clean , comfortable and nicely decorated . It was nice to have the lower game room and den for kids or adults.
We had the best weather and felt like we were in a tree house with a private viewing of the foliage !
The hermitage inn close by has a fabulous upscale restaurant .
The house in Wilmington Vermont was clean, nicely appointed and has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would stay there again and would definitely recommend it to anyone vacationing in southern Vermont.
My wife and I took our two kids and dogs along with three of their friends for a summer kickoff/birthday weekend. We had a great time. The multiple beds and amazing lower level was great for the kids while the adults hung out upstairs. The surrounding area offered kayaking, swimming and mountain biking down Mount Snow.
House is even better than the pictures and it feels like a tree house with all the wide windows, great views of the mountain and the owner was very helpful
