Perfect family home with A/C! Amazing location, a short walk to Poipu beaches!

This private ranch-style home is located in the Lanai Villas section of Poipu Kai Resort. What makes this house special is the enclosed tropical backyard with a gate that leads out to a secluded greenbelt path for a short walk to Grand Hyatt, Shipwreck Beach and the Maha’ulepa Heritage Trail (to the west) and Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park (to the east).

This a great vacation home for families with bedrooms on one side of the home (sleeps up to 7 people) and the kitchen, dining and living areas on the opposite end. The backyard allows a beautiful setting for relaxing and outdoor dining.

This home has numerous highlights to make your vacation comfortable and memorable:

• Air conditioning that is guest controlled in each bedroom as well as the living area
• High speed Wifi and internet service
• Use of the Poipu Kai resort pool and hot tub
• The Poipu Kai Tennis Club is available to guests for a nominal fee.
• Master bedroom has a TV and California king and access to the backyard’s lanai.
• The second bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to a king upon request.
• The third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed.
• Well stocked kitchen
• Dining area has a formal dining table and a breakfast bar with three barstools.
• Living area offers a flat screen TV and access to the backyard.
• The backyard features a gas barbecue, dining for eight people and two chaise lounge chairs.
• The garage accommodates a rental car and offers a second refrigerator for large grocery runs. In addition, it is well stocked with baby gear and beach toys that allow families to travel light. (Please note that a very large SUV would not fit.)
• Ideally located to Poipu Beach Park, which is one of the safest swimming areas in Hawaii with a lifeguard on duty seven days a week. Brennecke’s Beach is known for boogie boarding and body surfing.
• Smoking and parties are prohibited on the property.

Poipu Kai Security provides 24 hour service and security cameras are installed on the exterior entrance locations to maximize safety.

Scott and Laurie Allison bought this home a year ago and look forward to continuing the Aloha spirit that has made this vacation rental a long time VRBO favorite.

Greatest location

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Works great for a family of 6. Quick walk to the beaches and to the Grand Hyatt and a couple restaurants. Owner has all the beach things for your use which was a huge convenience. House is spacious with lovely outdoor area. Some things need updating but the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. And the beds are comfy.

Amazing house and location

This property is so well taken care of and was comfortable, clean and fun! The layout is perfect for families. The living space and kitchen has everything you need. Outdoor patios are gorgeous. Island Paradise

Mele Hale in Poipu is perfect and has everything you could possibly need for your island vacation. Owners were so easy to work with, the house is perfectly laid out and has all the amenities. Seriously! The location is perfect, walking distance to a great pool, beaches, and restaurants. We decided that this is paradise. Hard to leave and we will highly recommend to others. Fabulous Home and Location

We stayed at Scott and Laurie's house Dec 9-16. This home is large and stunning with three bedrooms. Beautiful backyard and courtyard. This home is stocked with everything you can imagine to make your stay comfortable. It was perfect for our family, 3 couples and a toddler. The location is perfect. Walking distance to Shipwrecks Beach and a short car ride to Baby Beach. There are restaurants nearby. Scott and Laurie were extremely nice to work with and answered my emails promptly. I would highly recommend. If we have the opportunity to go back to Kauai, we will stay there again if availalble.

Family vacation

What a fun house! We stayed with a bunch of our family and it was perfect. Beds are super comfy, enough room for everyone and fully stocked. We all loved the backyard and patio! So peaceful and quiet. Easy walk to beaches. Although I will say both beaches were not what we needed for a 3 year old and a special needs teen, but we made due. There’s a spot close at shipwreck beach where some neighbors made a spot for kiddos cleaning out the rocks and piling up so the waves wouldn’t hit them. Our kiddo loved it! We couldn’t get the bbq to work great, only 1 side would turn on. So we just figured out other stuff to cook.

Excellent, well-maintained property. The air conditioners were super quiet, easy to use, and covered the whole house. The furniture was very comfortable -- particularly the beds. The kitchen was not only fully stocked for any need, but clearly labeled as well. Same for the light switches. Those little touches just made everything user-friendly. WiFi was reliable and good enough for streaming. Location was excellent - as advertised. The guide book they prepared was thorough and showed a deep knowledge of the area. We used it as a reference every day. We feel like our next VRBO rental can only disappoint by comparison.

EXCELLENT!

This house surpassed our expectations. I travelled with my family, 6 adults total. The house comfortably fit all of us and could have fit one more person if we needed. There was both a courtyard in the entryway and the back yard for relaxing. The best feature though was the direct access to the greenway. Every day we took a 5 minute walk to Shipwreck beach and watched the sunrise. Just a few more minutes walk to bars, restaurants, and shopping. We used a collapsable wagon in the garage to bring chairs and umbrellas to the beach a few times. The house was very clean and Laurie was always quick to answer my questions. We already cant wait to go back someday!

Our family stayed here for seven days and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Scott and Laurie had all of the essentials covered. They responded promptly to all of our questions. It was a short walk in either direction to Shipwreck beach or Poipu / Brennecke's beach. The home was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also, having AC in all of the bedrooms was a big plus. The home is stocked with all the essentials to make guests relax and enjoy Kauai. Scott and Laurie want their guests to feel the aloha spirit and make lots of memories during their stay here.

Why they chose this property

This home's location provides privacy and easy access to beaches and resort amenities. Located off of a private road, this house is spacious for families or a multi-generational vacation. The backyard provides comfortable outdoor dining for eight, a gas bbq and access to a green belt that is a short walk to two beautiful beaches, a community pool, a tennis club and many amenities.

What makes this property unique

Our guests can walk to beaches, a beautiful hiking trail and resort amenities by going out the private backyard to a greenbelt. In addition, this home is stocked with all the comforts of home. Families with small children can travel light with high chair, port-a-crib and stroller provided. There's also a game closet, along with chairs, umbrellas, toys and a wagon to enjoy trips to the beach.
