We found the cottage to be secluded enough, yet part of a quaint and safe neighborhood. All amenities as described, clean and comfortable. Would have liked to stay longer and utilize the lake better, but family gatherings took up most of our time, will consider staying again! Thanks!

There were several things that were not in working order. The upstairs bathroom toilet would screech. Flushing stopped it temporarily, but needed to be done multiple times in the night. The gas patio table on the deck wouldn’t light.

Great Pre July 4th Getaway from Chicago

Planned a two night stay with me, my husband, our daughter (8), and son (4). The kids loved the look of "our log cabin" immediately. It was a great jumping off point to explore the area. On our one day we explored three small towns. I had dreams of kayaking but it was a bit long to caddy them for any non-adult, plus we had plenty to do otherwise.Beds were comfy and all of us slept well. Kitchen had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Sometimes cabins can be cluttered but this was perfectly appointed. We may very well stay again. Would recommend!

Enjoyable lake stay.

This is a nice cabin, it is located on a very heavily wooded lot and has a lot of nature, wildlife. During our stay the squirrels and chipmunks were plentiful and gathering the nuts from the beech trees. The weather was too dry for a fire in the pit. The fire pit table was out of gas. The lower TV was out of service and we needed to buy some TP as very little was in the home upon check-in. Tha cabin was comfortable.

A perfect getaway

Completely loved staying at this cabin! Very clean, well organized, comfy & had all essentials. I greatly appreciate everything. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely perfect for some relaxing time.

October fishing trip

Nice clean cabin near lake. The fall colors were beautiful. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time we were there, so the fishing was poor. But the cabin was great.

This was a very nice cabin!!

We had a great time. I just didn’t realize the lake access was so far away. We ended up finding a quaint little lake to kayak on. The cabin was updated with a rustic feel. The balcony was great to enjoy coffee and hear the loons in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Very poor communication

I did not recive notification of a ceptance of dog and made other arrangement until 48 hour before saty. Reached out and host said he would transfer dates because it was past time for refund. I gave dates that were a cepted and then the next day. It was cancelled I didn't recieve notification that it was cancelled and now I have no cabin and out $600. Include a pet fee, when I didnt wven stay there

Lovely But Disappointed

Upon receiving our confirmation of our booking, we were very excited to know that this was going to be our place for a 3 night stay. Unfortunately upon arrival we discovered numerous faults that we feel the need to bring to your attention. The following is a list of issues we encountered during our stay: >The switch for the light above the mirror in the downstairs bathroom was difficult to find and once we did we quickly realized that the switch itself was very erratic in operation and the light would routinely shut off on its own. Also we were very disappointed to find that the shower in the same bathroom was non functioning due to the cold control valve being completely inoperable. Therefore the downstairs shower was not utilized because there was only the availability of hot water. Alternatively, we used the upstairs bathroom to the best of our ability however our physical limitations found the upstairs shower/tub to be extremely difficult to use at best. Additionally the pocket door for the downstairs bathroom was stiff and difficult to open and or close. >We found the washing machine to smell of mold and mildew and we used some bleach that we found on the premises to sanitize it before actual use. >As we are both water drinkers it was exciting to find a filtration system installed at the kitchen sink but we were disappointed to find that the maintenance record was past due and therefore we were uncomfortable utilizing it. >We found one outlet on the side of the master bed to be loose in its mount and one more with a similar issue but I cannot recall where. As a suggestion, we recommend soft white light bulbs throughout the cabin as this would create cozy lighting and also the addition of dimmers for all interior lighting. >Also we found the grill to have leftover food and foil and various utensils belonging to the cabin that were left outside. >Finally, we booked a 3 night 4 day stay and on day 2 we encountered the cleaning staff who reminded us that checkout time was 11 a.m. and made it obvious that she did not expect us to be there. This lovely little cabin has so much potential and we would entertain renting again if these issues were addressed. Jamie was unresponsive when we requested some compensation for our inconveniences.
