Welcome to the Rock River Hideaway! Located just downriver from Lake Kosh, this house offers a peaceful retreat where you can put your toes in the sand at the private beach, with a natural artesian spring waterfall. Use the kayaks, bring your own boat, fish for walleye and northern, and enjoy some s'mores on an open fire surrounded by scenic views. Watch for a nesting family of bald eagles and eaglets directly across the river from you. Book your stay today and experience the beauty of Rock County.

- A rare and unique private sand beach right outside your back door is perfect for those summer days.
- Multiple decks (1 is covered) allow you to enjoy the river in any weather.
- Feel free to bring your own boat and tie off at our dock or use the 16ft bunk boat lift. The public boat launch is about 15 min drive away, and a quarter mile upriver.
- Dog Friendly! If you're planning to bring your dog, be sure to add a dog to your booking (a small Pet Fee is applied to cover additional cleaning and wear/tear).

2 kayaks and 1 stand-up paddle board is available for you to explore the river! Kids love the soft sand beach, tree swing, and water slide into the sand-bottom river! Family memories are waiting to be made!

We have 2 separate living rooms with smart tv's, high-speed Fiber gigabit internet, comfortable bedding, laundry washer/dryer, discounts on longer trips, and plenty of parking for 4-6 cars. My family and I traveled from Chicago for a weekend, and we had an amazing time staying at this home. The location is literally unbeatable, right on the river, with a little private beach (our kids loved it!) We spent our time grilling, kayaking and watching a family of bald eagles right across the river. We would definitely go back there again.

This property exceeded our expectations for a fall weekend getaway! The deck and beach area were so lovely and relaxing. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely book again!

We stayed 2 nights. Hung out there. Water in lake very green not great for fishing or swimming. Would have loved a bathroom on each level instead of 2 bathrooms only on top floor; not great for having 2 bedrooms downstairs and only 1 upstairs. Would have loved a table to sit around for meals and playing games inside - only kitchen island. Grill was not cleaned at all. Had to be scrubbed on grates before use. Several dishes & glasses needed washing before using. Kitchen well stocked with pans and cooking utensils. We enjoyed our stay otherwise. Beautiful setting. Could be better lighting for going up & down outside stairs with luggage.

We are very transparent about the home layout in the description, and in fact messaged you before your trip sharing the bathrooms and bedrooms layout. Unfortunately we can't control the weather on the lake and river and it does get algae spikes after large rain run offs like we had the week before your trip. It only lasts a few days typically and unfortunately lined up with your trip. We will connect with our professional cleaning service on the grill and glassware situation and make sure they pay closer attention to these areas. Thank you for providing that feedback!

Our stay was amazing! Had a low-key girls weekend and this place was perfect! It fit us all comfortably and had plenty of space to hang out and play games and cook together. Being right on the river, with the kayaks and paddle boards available for use was such a fun feature! It was the perfect private oasis for a long weekend getaway! Would definitely book again!

Overall we had a really great stay! The river and entry into the water is rocky so bring water shoes. It is a bit harder with younger children as they have to pick playing up in the sandy area or a parent plays in the water with them. It is not a beach area where little ones can sit in the sand and splash their toes in the water while a parent is very close by. The hosts have thought of a lot of things that other places don’t always have. The cabin was clean and grill was great for grilling out dinners. The host was responsive with any questions as well. The lower level of the cabin was quite chilly so bring warmer clothes for sleeping. I don’t think the hosts can do anything about that though. It’s difficult to keep an upper level and basement level equally comfortable in hot hot weather.

Beautiful place to stay on the river! My family enjoyed a very nice stay. I truly enjoyed the upstairs bedroom! The skylights were very enjoyable. We enjoyed having our feet buried in the sand in February and sitting on the dock was so relaxing soaking up some much needed rays!A big thank you to Ashley and her family for sharing this awesome place on vrbo!!!

I would recommend this property to others. It was a nice easy check-in and the hosts were great to communicate with. The house was very clean and everything smelled fresh. You get a nice view of the lake and a nice deck to sit and enjoy the view. Zero complaints

Perfect spot for relaxation and fun

We came in town for a wedding in the vicinity. Our group was my spouse, our two little kids, my parents and me. Not immense space but very comfortable fit for all of us. The house is thoughtfully stocked including with plush towels and toys that are littles adored. It’s a lovely view of Rock River with an enclosed porch on the upper level and one that walks out to the small beach on the lower level shaded by the deck above. It was perfect for a relaxing morning with coffee and boat watching. Communication with Ashley was clear and quick. Recommend without reservations. We’d certainly come back!

We had a great stay at Ashley’s place. The space was very clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a big difference during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was easy to settle in right away.Ashley was a great host—friendly, responsive, and helpful whenever we had questions.
