The house exceeding our expectations, not only was it beautiful but it was close to our wedding site, Over the Vines. The house was very spacious along with clean.
This home is perfect for family gatherings with multiple rooms and areas for hanging out. The hosts thought of almost everything. Great stay! Hoping to return one day.
The home was clean and well stocked with essentials, including some breakfast items (super helpful since we arrived late in the evening). Plenty of hang out space on the main level or upstairs with the shuffle board table. Very short walk to a small beach park area and about 10-15 minute drive to town. Great coffee spot and ice cream place in town! Easy to rent a pontoon boat and lake wasn’t super crowded on a Friday afternoon in July.
During this COVID time we were debating weather or not to leave the safety of our home but with how immaculately clean the house was, we were put at ease that we would be safe and could relax and enjoy the cozy place and lovely lake. We appreciated all of the extra amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our cozy stay and would definitely return.

Seems as if the cleaning crew didn’t clean up everything prior our stay. Dirt and dead bugs all on the floor. Towels left in the laundry room. The door is hard to open. We did like the coffee they had for us. Just wished it was cleaner. We wished this was a lake view property, you can’t see the lake from the house. We really couldn’t relax due to fear of the neighbor. Who seems to have issues in the pass with guests at the house.
This was a lovely property and online description/photos were spot on. Visited with my adult children and we had plenty of room to spread out or be together. Nice fireplace for cold winter nights and the shuffleboard game was a big hit. Loved the upstairs frig to store beer and pop for our game times with room to spread out snacks on top. Large kitchen for cooking family meals was well stocked (and we have a chef in the family). Owner was very responsive to messages with questions. Only small suggestion would be some plain Keurig coffee pods for those purists who aren't fans of flavored coffee.
Thanks for a lovely weekend family outing. Would highly recommend!
The Rustic Lake Home was just as described. The house was very clean, quite inviting and well-stocked with all necessary items needed. Our GPS brought us straight to the front door. The only hesitancy we had was getting used to a 3-second hold time in electronically securing the front door. There was definitely more living space available than needed for our party of four. The upstairs game room was also a welcome attraction for us all.
Our evening trip to the Fort Atkinson Fireside was just 11 miles away. This is a house that you can be confident in what the Vrbo listing says about it. All-in-all, a well needed respite for a little time off.
Very nice house. One of the most well equipped houses I've booked. Im still giving it 5 stars, but the one thing i didnt care for was the fact that the thermostat is controlled by the host, remotely. It was 90 to 100 degrees out and the house was constantly at 76 degrees. Now thats hood when you first step in, but for sleeping, not so much. I did reach out to the host and got a response that it would be lowered, but it soon reset itself back. Again, great house, great amenities. Just hot!

Edgerton disappointed
Overall, I have to admit disappointment with this rental. I thought the house not very well cleaned prior to arrival. The cooking pots and pans are very worn. Glasses in the cupboard not clean. The beds were comfortable and the choice of pillows abundant.
Had I known of the neighborhood prior to renting I would definitely not have chosen the unit. And as for a lake house, you can see the lake across the street and we were hoping for on the lake access.

Thomas, sorry to hear about your experience. I will have to pass your notes along to my cleaning crew to ensure they are not letting this happen again.
Great stay and the property had everything we needed.
The only thing to be aware of is the neighbor across the street didn’t seem very happy with the VRBO situation. We needed to reverse in to the driveway (rather than pull in) to avoid hitting the garbage cans and their trailer hitch that sticks out. He told me I “drove on his property” (which I absolutely did not) and proceeded to yell at me in front of my whole family and children about disrespect. I tried to make peace and was absolutely calm with him but he was not interested. Caught me off guard and I was shaken up by his crude and inconsiderate reaction.
All in all would recommend. Very suitable for a week long stay.

Uncomfortable stay
Property was pretty, but the renter would not let you control your temperature of the house by yourself. They set it to what they thought it should be and had the control locked so u could not change it. Kind of ridiculous to have to send messages to try and get it changed every time you wanted it cooler. You pay that much a day to be uncomfortable!!!

Felicia,
We sorry to hear about the experience. As mentioned, the NEST uses smart technology. When it notices the temperature outside is lower than what is on the thermostat, it will shut off. I noticed it was in the high 60s most days, which would be the reason for it turning off. Also, the temperature is reset daily to stay between 68-74, which is what research says should be the average range. To avoid the temperature issues, we previously installed an AC unit on the top floor that you should have been able to adjust manually to your likings.
