About this property

Acadia Southwest Harbor House. Close to hiking trails, restaurants & shops.

Our well maintained 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house is located in the Village of Southwest Harbor on Mt. Desert Island, where local lobstermen start their day around 3 am. The house is located across from Milagro Coffee Bar and the Shoppes at Southwest Harbor. It is just minutes away from many hiking trails in Acadia National Park, restaurants, shops, swimming holes & beaches. Links to our other vacation rentals can be found under "Hosted By". The house rents by the week from Saturday to Saturday during July & August. The other months we have a 4 night minimum with no restrictions on the check-in and check-out dates.

The location of our home makes it unique as you can literally walk across the road to get your morning coffee and baked goods, get your haircut at the local salon, grab a bottle of wine for dinner at the local liquor store and get some fresh cut flowers at the florist. The popular Charlotte Rhodes Butterfly Garden overlooking Norwood Cove is also across the street going the opposite direction and the Causeway Club Golf Course is just a 5 minute walk from the house.

By car you can be at many trails heads in Acadia National Park within minutes or at Echo Lake or Long Pond for swimming. A little further away by car are beaches and the Bass Harbor Light House.

Sleeping arrangements - each bedroom has a king size bed.

House has both heat and AC.

The house is absolutely wonderful. Perfect for the 4 of us. Great location as the kids loved the butterfly park across the street. Most of our excursions were 10 mins or less away from us. Close to some Acadia trails. We would book here again.

Cute and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay. The place was cute and comfortable. The treats, coffee and bakery goods, from the owners was quite nice! The location is central but can be loud with trucks- we knew that going in. Southwest Harbor is great and so close! Great hiking and food nearby.

We prefer the more relaxed southern side of the island as Bar Harbor has become to commercial and hectic.
