Cute beach house, great location…
This was a very cute house, perfect spot to a dog friendly area on the beach and within 10 minutes to Cape May and Cape May Zoo! We went on a two night trip with my two kids, my parents and our pup for a short getaway. It was our first time in Cape May, so we were very excited to find this home! The communication with the landlord was great in the beginning and she reached out confirming the house was left perfect, which I love to hear!
A few things that I do hope will be fixed:
- We could not find dish towels anywhere. There was one that we could find and had to use that the entire time.
- The one pillow my dad was using still had an ink tag on it (like one from a store so it doesn’t get stolen). There were not enough pillows in the house for 5 people (listing said pillows).
- We plugged in our babies sound machine and it blew the circuit in the bedroom. There was a concerning spark, which made us nervous to plug anything else in. We have never had this issue anywhere else with a sound machine. We contacted the landlord and she helped us find the breaker box).
- The biggest issue were the beds. You could easily tell they were all well past their life expectancy. Creaked with every move and extremely hard to sleep on. My Dad actually ended up sleeping on the couch because it was too much.
I have brought these issues (except the dish towels) up to the landlord prior to leaving this review.
