The room was very dirty and was mildewed. Also had mold I most area with the bedroom smelling like urine. Patio furniture was terribly sun baked. Washer and dryer had enamel worn off. We left after 2 days because of the filth and stench. Never again! Stay away

The location of the complex was amazing! And the rooms were really good. The service was pretty good, our fridge broke and they fixed it pretty well. There was one really big problem, which was the internet connection, it worked terribly. Even 5G didn’t work. Another problem was the view from the bedroom, I couldn’t even open the shades because I didn’t want people staring into my room. One thing that I really liked was that every evening a chicken would come and sleep on the lounge chair, it was so cute! And another problem was the couch-bed they should seriously get a new one! Also I liked how big the complex was and I really liked the pool and jacuzzi. Hope to come back here again!

The unit was clean overall. The air conditioning unit fan cover was taped shut, and kept falling off, which didn’t affect the unit but just made it look funky. We had minimal supplies to get us by for our stay.

Romancing the stone

Firs time for may husband and 2nd time for me. We had the best time here in Maui and this condo was great it had everything we needed from dishes to washer and dryer. We will definitely come rent here again.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay this February. Condo was very quick walk to the beach, everything was as expected. I loved the ground floor room. Living room spacious. We had to get a crib and the bedroom was squishy with a crib in it but if there hadn’t been a crib there would have been lots of room. Also there was a king size bed which was nice.

We chose this property for the amenities and liked the close proximity to the beach and that it had a pool. We liked other condos in this same property much better, but ultimately chose this specific unit because it had a bathtub. That being said, the hot water was very limited. The water would get hot, but the water got colder and colder by the minute. Even on the hottest setting, it was at best, luke warm. Another requirement was a refrigerator, this unit had one, however, it did NOT work. It did not get cold at all. The freezer was cold (too cold to use as a fridge, but not cold enough to keep things frozen). The ice maker did not work, so we used the ice trays, however there were only two and took about 10 hours to make ice to keep things cold. The property had several shared outdoor grilling areas that we were excited to use, however, couldn’t use them because we didn’t have a fridge to keep meat (or any other groceries) cold. It had a fully equipped kitchen as well, but same issue, we couldn’t cook without a way to store groceries. We also didn’t use the microwave either as we couldn’t keep restaurant leftovers cold. Thus, we hardly used anything that we paid for. Basically just a place to sleep and store luggage. The property itself (Kamaole Sands) is well maintained and has great amenities (pool, bbq areas, gym, tennis courts, etc). Would stay on this property again, but NOT this specific unit.

Comfortable and great location

This condo was a great option for a small group or family. I stayed with my 5-year-old and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It's on the bottom floor so you don't get the views (other family members were on the fourth floor and the sunsets and sea views were gorgeous) but if you don't mind that, it's a great little spot. The advantage is you can walk straight from the parking lot to the condo and don't have to mess with the elevators, which could be an advantage with small kids, luggage, groceries, etc. The complex itself is beautifully manicured, well-maintained grills, and a nice pool with a smaller pool designated for kids. The warm hot tub for kids is a great feature too.

This is a cozy and super comfortable rental, that is a little dated. It could use some love (replacing the primary bathroom faucet, replacing the tired beach chairs), but that overall we were super impressed with this place and can see ourselves staying here again. We loved how QUIET this unit was. We felt like the only ones in the building! Our family of 3 had plenty of space with the pull out couch. We made good use of the washer/dryer, and loved the walkout area of grass (full of Geckos!) right off the Lanai. It had everything we needed for a family that spends all day at the beach or out exploring, and is in a great location.We come yearly to Kihei, and we think this complex may be our new favorite. The pool area is very nice, it's a super quick walk to Kam 3, and the BBQ areas area all very clean (and one is right around the corner from this unit).Our first day, I commented on how nice the BBQs were, and then they were literally replaced with even nicer brand new units the next day! Love seeing that much love put into the grounds. We're hoping this unit can be our go-to unit whenever we need a one bedroom!

Relaxing Maui vacation

The condo is small but adequate for two people. We had a few issues upon arrival. An unclean bathroom, a cracked toilet tank, a broken shelf/ bin in refrigerator, ice maker not working and no ice cube trays. Property management addressed our concerns the next day. The doorways into both bathrooms are narrow, not your standard size. The bathrooms could also benefit from a refresh. They are however functional and are as shown in the listing photos. The kitchen has a good supply of dishes, basic cookware and basic utensils. The BBQ area is a very short walk from the lanai. Unfortunately we could not locate BBQ utensils in the condo or at the BBQ area. The furniture throughout the condo has been changed. It is no longer the island decor as was described in the VRBO listing or shown in the listing photos. The furniture however is very nice and comfortable. The only exception is the mattress on the bed. It is too soft with multiple “hills and valleys” from wear. The condo grounds are very well kept and manicured. It was nice to have assigned parking a short distance from the condo.

Perfect spot to tour the island from

This is a great option for an affordable Hawaiian getaway. It’s centrally located and close to a great beach town and great beaches, food, and day trips. The unit itself is clean, spacious, and offers the use of the on site benefits of the pool/hot tub/etc. This property is not on the water, but literally across the street from the water. The only downside was that it is on the first floor, and first floor units have the bedroom positioned so the only window faces the parking lot. It’s a strange decision which basically renders your bedroom window useless, but not in any way the owner’s fault. My wife and I would stay here again. Also, the digital lock on the front door is finicky, a couple times we had some trouble getting inside. The one time we couldn’t figure it out the owner quickly reconciled the issue by phone.

Generally it was very nice. Had a little trouble with TV, mgmt fixed it, no instruction on different remotes. never figured out how to adjust fans or AC in bedroom. Condo adequately supplied, we could cook and do everything comfortably. Thank you for opening your condo to public
