Big Trees State Park is a wonderful location to bring the whole family for hiking and great photo opportunities with some of California's largest trees. Go for a hike to the White Pine lake, then enjoy hot chocolate (in the wintertime) or ice cream (during the summer time) served at the Warming Hut during business hours. Big Trees Market is also nearby and is fully stocked. Visit the towns of Columbia State Park, where you can take a stagecoach ride or explore the nearby Moaning Caverns.
