About this property

The Great Escape - Near everything yet off the beaten path

Located in the Shenandoah Valley our cabin is located on a quiet street on a 1/2 acre lot. The backyard is fenced for big and small dogs. On the back porch is a nice gas grill. A few steps down is a hot tub. The hot tub is nice especially when returning home from a day of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park which is only 20 minutes away. Inside the home are two bedrooms, each with a king size bed. We furnish wireless internet and satellite TV. I will email you a list of activities that are all close to our cabin. There is something for everyone at The Great Escape.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The property was very clean all the way down to the hot tub. There were little touches like necessities for your fur baby, although we didn’t bring ours on this trip and a fenced yard. Towels and cups for the hot tub, brochures for places to visit, things to do and the king size bed a definite plus. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay at the Great Escape again.

Such a nice cabin. Quiet, peaceful and roomy. The host answered all questions. The mountains are beautiful. Some great restaurants in Luray, especially the Mexican Restaurant. We would like to return to see the Fall colors.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is super clean and stocked with everything you’ll need. Our 9 month old baby had a blast crawling in the spacious living room and our 17.5 year old chihuahua was very comfortable. They also enjoyed the beautiful lawn! We created precious memories here as a family of 3 that we will cherish forever! Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor area was perfect for morning coffee and evening unwinding. This property is super clean and easy to locate and use as a base for traveling the historical areas around it. The rear deck is great for sitting outside after dark for viewing the night skies. The property is very pet friendly with a fenced in yard. The host even leaves dog treats and water bowls. The hard surface floors make clean up easy. The bedrooms are large and the beds are amazing for a good night's sleep.The hosts are easy and very quick on communications and answering questions. We did enjoy the hot tub many nights after a day of hiking and such. Teh kitchen is well stocked with good china and eating utensils. The coffee maker works easy and well.A great place to sit and relax.

This is a wonderful cabin. Very clean and cozy with a beautiful fireplace. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is on a peaceful, quiet street. Very scenic with a nice view of the sunrise just a quick walk up the street. Don and Lina were great hosts and did a great job of communicating and keeping us informed from check-in to check-out. We didn't have any issues during our stay.Highly recommended! We will come back again for sure!
