About this property

The Great Escape - Near everything yet off the beaten path

Located in the Shenandoah Valley our cabin is located on a quiet street on a 1/2 acre lot. The backyard is fenced for big and small dogs. On the back porch is a nice gas grill. A few steps down is a hot tub. The hot tub is nice especially when returning home from a day of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park which is only 20 minutes away. Inside the home are two bedrooms, each with a king size bed. We furnish wireless internet and satellite TV. I will email you a list of activities that are all close to our cabin. There is something for everyone at The Great Escape.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

It is a beautiful cabin, clean and in a lovely area. Just a suggestion, add a small trash can in each bedroom, as well as a clock. It was a peaceful and restorative place for me at a time when I needed to rest. Thank you, Lina and Don.

This cabin was indeed a Great Escape. Everything regarding the reservation was seamless and easy. The cabin had a very well stocked kitchen, plenty of space, large closets, fantastic blackout curtains, comfortable beds, a nice fenced yard, hot tub, gas grill, and patio furniture, all in a quiet, peaceful setting. They even had basket of dog supplies! The proximity to the National Forest was excellent for taking the dogs on a nice walk. 10/10-highly recommend!!

This place was excellent! Spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable king beds, roomy and private hot tub, easy to use higher end gas grill, and especially the peaceful fenced in backyard for our pup. The hosts were easy to communicate with and got back to me in minutes when I had a question. The location was great for visiting Luray, New Market and of course the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. We’d definitely want to stay here again if we’re back in this area.

This was probably the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in! It had everything the pups needed for a fun and relaxing stay near Shenandoah. We would absolutely stay here again.

The owners had extra items in the cabin some comforts of home like wax paper, Tin foil,klenex, detergent well stocked kitchen of cooking item as well as a kerog coffee pot and many other items it was like the frosting on a cake. The property was very clean all the way down to the hot tub. There were little touches like necessities for your fur baby, although we didn’t bring ours on this trip and a fenced yard. Towels and cups for the hot tub, brochures for places to visit, things to do and the king size bed a definite plus. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay at the Great Escape again.

Such a nice cabin. Quiet, peaceful and roomy. The host answered all questions. The mountains are beautiful. Some great restaurants in Luray, especially the Mexican Restaurant. We would like to return to see the Fall colors.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is super clean and stocked with everything you’ll need. Our 9 month old baby had a blast crawling in the spacious living room and our 17.5 year old chihuahua was very comfortable. They also enjoyed the beautiful lawn! We created precious memories here as a family of 3 that we will cherish forever! Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin!

We cannot recommend the Great Escape enough! Don and Lina are wonderful hosts who provided a clean, comfortable, and calm experience. The backyard was perfect for our pups to run around in, and the hot tub was fantastic after long days hiking in the beautiful mountains. The beds are super comfy and we always woke up refreshed. If you’re considering booking the Great Escape - do it. We can’t wait to come back!
